[Circe]

Circe nods and starts by giving over her loaded s-clips. Then digs out her spare rounds to add them. Finally, she takes off the rifle. Pulls the slide back, check that it is yes still empty, and then places it on the cleared space of the table. "Number 2 and accessories."


The Fairest next takes off her harness from atop the bone armour. Circe unties the armor, pulls it over her head, hopping around a bit when she loses balance. Circe does not fall. The armor is added to the table. Circe puts the harness back on. "Number 3. There you are sir. Your turn now, yes?"

Despite her temporarily ruffled feathers, Sonnie got over it quickly, as she was curious what the Elongated Man had to say. She eyed all the stuff Circe was handing over. The Summer Queen had truly come loaded for trade.

Then the Beast wondered if there was a Sam Goody around here. Probably not. She hadn't seen one in years. Did Sam Goody even still exist? She'd have to google that when they got home.

[Saber Sloth]

As the lighter is placed in his hand, the hob's long, long fingers press against Jasper's pulse point and there is a flicker of glamour and Jasper forgets about the lighter, who had given it to him, and every single memory of using it. More than what was agreed upon, but the maw is hungry, and the Hound never said the hob couldn't...and now he doesn't know what he's lost to complain. He knows he's paid a price for information, along with Circe, who's rifle and armour quickly join with the cumin beneath the table.

A moment later, the hob's hands are once again in front of him, moving through the air as if he was flipping through then reading from an invisible book.

"Rust, the. A by-product of a cross breeding two goblin fruits. Jennyapples and Fugespores. Reasons unknown, conjecture, to act as a malignant force against the Hedge itself. Created by a rogue Hedge Warden Metalflesh, Carlos. Fire can cleanse the affected areas, but will not halt the spread. To halt the spread, the original bush must be found, and destroyed."

A pause.

"Anything else?"

"Burn it back to slow it, burn the original to stop it?" She nods as the hob provides the answer to the problem. "Fire works indeed, oh ho ho ho! You," she points a finger at the long limbed hob goblin, "Are a witty one. Thank you," she gives a short bow.

Then turns to Jasper, "Anything else you two," looks to Sonja, "Are looking for?" She pats the duffle bag, "I am at least selling the damn swords. They. Are. Heavy."

Circe doubts she will get glorious contracts or grand knowledge for the hunks of stabby metal. Some silk though? Sure, and it'd be lighter to carry back.

Jasper stands back up, rubbing his palm along his jeans for a moment as if to rub away the ghostly tingle away. He knows he paid something but doesn't recall what it was. That should be bad right? He is a bit grumpy as he looks at the long-limbed hob and then over to his fellow freeholders. "Fire's a good way of getting rid of the rust. Good. I'll happily help with that.."

When he's asked if they want anything else, "I was thinking 'bout grabbing a contract while we were here too," he says, looking around and sniffing the air slightly. But should I pay something I don't know about again? Hobs are weird..

"I mean, fire gets rid of almost anything," she mused.

"Um, nothing for me, really. I just wanted to see this place," the Beast shrugged, looking about, still trying to take in as much of the sights, sounds and smells of the Goblin Market as she could.

Meanwhile, Sonnie's monkey brain tried to think on the two ingredients for the Rust. Jennyapples and Fugespores. While she was not an expert on Hedge Horticulture, she did tend her own little goblin fruit garden. It was this experience she drew upon.

[Saber Sloth]

The hob with his blank face, watches them as they decide the no longer need his services, offering one last breathy laugh as his body straightens, and his limbs reset to the positions the Lost first saw them in when they had first approached. Knowing there was still more he knew, and yet more, that the Lost can part with.


If the Lost are after Contracts, they are in the correct aisle upon the Great Spider Bazaar they would need to venture to the opposing side, and of course find the correct vender selling the Contract, or Clause they wanted.


Sonnie on the other hand is using her noggin. She knows that Fugespores are spores that cling on thorny briar bits, and are Bad News. Do Not Pass Go, not a single hundo for you. And that Jennyapples, aren't the spotted appley outside that you need to watchout for, but the stone inside, where the gross smelly yuck comes from. It's a smell that clings in your nose, and stays. All distraction and bleh, and never mind eating it. For someone to do that they'd have to be nose blind and denser than a bag or rocks. Or a hobgoblin.

To try and find the Contracts you can do a social questioning, attribute + skill depended on how you want to go about it, or you can try and do some detective work, Wits + Investigation

"Right. We can tell the others we need to visit Arizona to buy a flamethrower. Or make a bunch of Molotov's drinks. Certainly get more of the cleaning suits and masks," she summarizes her idea of what the plan should become.


"I doubt you'll get much for what I brought Jasper, but go for it! Oh. If you find something cheap Jasper," she points at him, "Let me know if they got Fang contracts for anything with night vision." She looks to Sonja, "I'd not trust the goggles to work in the Hedge." Then back to Jasper, "Let's do it! If we fail? I'll just buy some spider silk," then smacks her thigh. It is loud, "Mundy spider silk is protective as this, but lighter. Hedge has to be better."


Or at least a lot easier to get with the huge ass spider they were riding upon. Right now, it was wheeling and dealing time!

"Jennyapples are super stinky, the pit, anyway, and can make you super stinky. As for Fugespores.... just don't ever touch 'em," she said aloud, "I dunno why anyone would think to crossbreed the two. There's no way the result would be beneficial. They had to know what they made would be super-duper bad."

Sometimes, the Monkey Brain worked well. Occasionally.

Sonnie looked at Circe, "Owls have great nightvision. And cats. Look for those." She tilted her head as an idea struck her. "And maybe an Elemental contract with fire?"

It doesn't take long at all for Circe to draw nearly everyone's attention, other Lost, or hobs or anyone else that could be upon the back of the Great Spider. Traffic around them slows, and stills, the loud smack of her thigh has even more eyes following the motion, like moths to the flame, a few overhear what Sonnie suggests as Contract options.

It's like a title wave, voices rush over them -

- "Animal clauses - " - " -thirteen booths west - " "Birds are farther north then felines - "
- "Fire would be east - " "Seventy - at least seventy booths - " - "General Elements would be farther east, hundred or more booths?"

Well, at least they have a general idea of where to go, but it seems like Animal contracts and elemental ones are of opposite sides of the line of booths, and apparently the line of booths isn't so much a line as a branching thing shooting off in more directions than just east and west.
