[Kane Harlow]

Summer had a gunship?

"Pleasure to meet you." The elemental smiles to the spring, offering a soft chuckle to what he hoped was a joke. Kane nods in agreement with Anatole's assessment of her appearance before grabbing a helmet for himself. The dwarf's question took him a second to think.

"I punch things. My contracts aren't conducive to fighting, with the exception of my elemental armor."

Kane had some thoughts on Circe's map and equipment, but before he could say anything she was on her feet and moving. This wasn't the first time she had cut off before Kane had the chance to answer, and if he weren't as disciplined as he was she might even perceive it. That was a conversation for another time though, and for now he simply nodded and smiled as the Queen concluded their briefing.

"East it is."

The elemental puts on the helmet, leaving the radio behind as he begins to head down the tunnel to the east.

[Sonnie Wu]

Sonnie seemed satisfied with the helmet and walkie-talkie, ignoring all the construction equipment, though she did grab a handful of the break lights and stick them in her bag. Maybe she'd use them at a rave. "That'll do for me. I prefer to remain light on my feet." If the idea of gila monsters scared her, she didn't show it.

The kung fu monkey saluted Anatole, "Ready for battle!"

His name was Leonard, right. Noted! "Animation? You have a contract that makes cartoons??!! Can you bring the Animaniacs to life?" She looked about at the others, then laughed, "Right, right, sorry. Not a good time for that. Maybe later?"

A nod to Kane, "Punching things is a solid way to go." She did it pretty often.

"Anywho, sounds like East is the people's choice!"

[Jasper]

The giant dog-headed Beast makes his way through the tunnels, cursing at himself and the world in general. He's late. Again. He's hoping he's not too late. He ducks down to try not to scrape his head too much on the ceiling as Jasper works his way through the tunnels. It takes a bit for him to get there, getting lost at least once and having to double back before he finally arrives at the gallery cave and blinks as he stands up fully. That's a new one... Being underground but still able to stand. He squints around for a moment, sniffing about as he finally makes his way over. "Oi.. Sorry I'm late. Lots of shit happened that I don't really wanna talk about. Sorry." he says, sighing slightly. "What can I do to help?"

[Anatole]

A flicker of recognition passes across Anatole's eyes as he listens to Leonard. Kane receives an approving nod and a grunt when the Elemental outlines his abilities; the burned dwarf positively grins.

"Hitting things... Good!"

He is still grinning, face ill lit by the effect of his Mantle, as the group begins to move out. Rather than follow immediately, he takes one of the hats, some of the chemical lights, a crowbar and a spare walkie talkie. The lights and crowbar go in his bag; he struggles to find a spot for the walkie talkie but ends up attaching it to his belt. He flicks the helmet light on (dust motes dance in the dusty air).

He turns when Jasper emerges from the shadowy gloom, barks a laugh.

"Hah! You got here. Take some equipment if you don't have any. We are exploring the eastern tunnels. Securing our flank before we examine the passages to the north. Circe and Sonnie are armed for war. Kane the Elemental is rearing to rearing to go - a pugilist like yourself. Lennard is lending a hand. You are just in time for the show."

He bobbed his head, his light illuminating the group in fits and flashes.

Anatole is carrying an Ax and a Knife. He is waring reinforced clothing (0/1 Armor) with gloves and carrying a sling bag.

The sling bag contains: rations, bottled water, cheap lockpicks (+0 bonus) and tuper ware.

PLUS: some chem-lights and a crowbar. Waring a protective helmet with a light.

[Leonard Kingsley]

Leonard would smile at Circe's word "I will do my best British accent when I do my detective stuffed" He would chuckle and give Kane a look, remembering their conversation about Sherlock.

Leonard would nod to Jasper and give h a friendly smile, he couldn't quite remember if he ever met him but he would still be friendly.

Leonard would laugh as Sonnie talked about his contract. "Well I don't know about that, but I have seen a few Wizened in my previous freehold use it to make brooms and mops and that stuff sweep and clean without them needing to move a finger. I can only see who was previous used certain things, and know how certain things work, wish I could bring animation to life "

He never thought of it like that, maybe he could try bringing cartoons and stuff to life, worth trying once he gets better.

Leonard would follow Anatole since he and Circe seemed to be the leaders in this endeavor, so he would nod his head as they all agreed to head East

Leonard would grab some chem-lights and a shovel. Wearing a protective helmet with a light.

[Circe]

Circe:
"Kane, punching is a great tactic. Especially if ya try ta get yer punches to Saitama levels. Or use knuckle dusters," she tries to praise the Summer. She did know how to throw a punch as a backup tactic. And there was a variety of heavy hand coverings to make punching more effective, be they blunt, spiked, and bladed. Almost all quite illegal in Cali.


Circe sighs as Jasper has missed, well, lots. She grabs a helmet and radio, giving them to him, "Welcome Jasper. Yes, you may need these. Oh, and dangerous to go alone. Take this," she cheerfully offers the catch pole. She doesn't want to use it, "Votes are in bee tee dubs. Everybody wants to go East, so no DJ work fer me," she smiles with a thumbs up, "Democracy, yay."


She decides to give a warning on the Contract of Animation, "Just don't go Fantasia with it."


"Oi," she looks to Anatole as she taps the shotgun, "Rock salt, don't want ricochette. Still plenty fer splattering vermin." Well, Circe also had other ammo types, but it was currently loaded for minimal friendly damage. It wasn't war quality to Circe's mind. She took her violence quite seriously.


Circe will turn off and pack one of the electric lanterns, giving her a stationary light to have available, then will join the rest in heading East.

Narration:
The Lost standing at the entrance to the Eastern tunnels will see that is slopes slightly down though it is leveling out just at the edge of their head lamps. Also at the edge of their lights? Looks like a small pile of rocks. They will need to proceed further to see more of those rocks.


Those who are proceeding down the East Tunnel can make a tough (-1) perception roll please.

Kane nods along as people seem onboard with the punching thing. Leonard gets a soft chuckle and a knowing look as two and two come together. He flicks the light on his helmet on and heads down the incline further into the tunnels. Eyes dart around, looking for threats. Creatures. Structural defects. Anything he might have to warn the other Lost about before proceeding.

[Sonnie Wu]

Sonnie activated the light on her helmet, and then proceeded to spend several moments playing around with it. This was mainly her shining the lamp onto a wall and making the light spot dance around with rapid head movements. Once that was out of her system, and before she gave herself a neck injury, she joined the others in entering the East Tunnel.

Being a Beast, she had access to certain Contracts that would help in places like this. For example: Magically-enhanced senses!

The distant chittering laughter of monkeys reached her ears, a sign to her that the clause was successfully invoked. Sonnie's senses were all heightened beyond human norms. Vision sharpened, hearing broadened. Scents became stronger. Tastes would become more intense, if she ate something. Even tactile sensations were stronger, though that could be irritating depending on what she touched.

Beast's Keen Senses activated. Sonnie gains a +4 dice bonus to all Wits-related Perception rolls for the scene.

That done, she peered at the rocks ahead.

Jasper wilts his ears back slightly at the sigh and the look Circe gives him but he nods, taking the helmet and radio. The helmet gets put carefully onto his head, his canid ears tucking out to the sides more. The radio gets latched onto his belt. He blinks at the pole she hands him, taking it curiously and cocking his head as he looks it over. It takes a moment for him to realize what it is and with that realization comes a small rumble of a growl from his throat but he cuts it off before it can get too loud, adding a shake of his head. I'm late, so I get handed the short stick. It's my own damn fault..

He flicks on the light on his helmet before starting towards the eastern tunnel with the rest of the group. As he's walking, he reaches up to slide a finger along the dog decal on the front of his shirt and he inhales sharply through his nose as he calls upon his Glamour.

All of his senses sharpen but especially his sense of smell, the man able to pick out each person around him by their own distinct aromas. He's able to filter them and determine who's who even with his eyes closed. He uses these newly focused senses to try to look and sniff out any dangers to the group in the tunnel as they walk.
