The Resurrectionists: Departure

There are no sounds of alarm. No porch lights flick on or curtains twitch. It appears that you have escaped without alerting the Kine. Although you do wonder how far back Holden and the man with him would be. No doubt hiding the hidden access route would mean he would have to double back. Losing valuable time. Ten minutes down the road from the cemetery, Milton and Quinn note a red car passing near the vehicles. Quinn notes that its a new model Honda Accord with California liscense plates that start with X8AN. Yet it turns off on a side road and the tail lights fade away. There is no sign of anyone taking an interest in the Kindred as they undertake the long drive back to Sacramento.

Gabriel arrives prompty. Gabriel accepts the still Torpor'd form of Pope professionally. With a deep nod to Jack, a slightly lesser one to Quinn and acknowledgements to Connor and Milton, he takes Pope away to the designated area.
One goal was attained, yet so many events had spiraled out at the cemetery. What would you do to about the situation?

Yet tonight there was no time. The Kindred race the daystar home, reaching their Havens quickly.

Milton parks behind Jacque at the Nox's delivery entrance. Climbs out of the car for the debrief. His clothing is filthy and he can almost feel the sun beyond the horizon. The Lord wants nothing more to be on his way.

Thus, when Jacque issues his order, Milton is happy to oblige. "Certainly," he replies. What else is there to say?

He glances about their group, "A good evening to you all."

If nothing else is needed of him, Milton will climb back into his car and depart. Off to store the trunk and sink into sleep.

The group was quiet and focused with the coming dawn. The hand-off was complete, so he waited for each Kindred to be on their way before returning to his own Haven.

There was more weighing on the Lord's mind. More work to do. The mission was over and a success, but something wasn't right about how it unfolded... it was a gnawing feeling that the Lord couldn't ignore.

Alas, that would have to wait for another night.

The daystar waits for no Kindred. Having bade goodbye to one another, the Kindred head to their havens. The evening had been quite eventful. The cost of the prize had been taxing. No doubt, the nights to come could be interesting if they choose to pursue answers.
