Kaze listens, nods, resists the impulse to do something disastrous like try to give Briar Rose a hug.
"Yeah. That's a good hope." He agrees, quietly. To himself he thinks, any hope is better than none. Because even if the hope is misplaced, sometimes it works out anyway. And Briar Rose's hope seems to be that there's redemption possible in putting your hope in the right place. He's not going to do or say anything to kick anyones hope out from under them, if he can help it.
Kaze tries to break the somber mood, grinning at Briar Rose and offering a fresh tumbler full of purified water. "Time for a palate cleanse and some hydration!" He says, drinking his own water.
"By the way, bathroom's over there whenever." He says lightly, pointing the way.
I'm loving this scene! We have plenty of days left on it, and I am really curious to see things progress with the unlimited application of hard liquor! LOL!
That said, if at any point you are wanting 'Christmas' to be done and into continuity, I'm good with that too. Whatever works for you is good for me.
