Dropping Bodies: Quinn's Investigation

Minutes tick by and those quiet foot steps move up, then back. Then she hears them fade away as though the little creature has moved on. Not three minutes later, the small sounds return, and circle a bit above. A quiet.
Scritch Scratch. Scritch Scratch. As something makes quiet little entreaties against some surface up above. It was near the entrance of her haven, but how would some little creature know that? It had to be looking for a bit of food, or some place to settle down to sleep. Surely. Being quiet and well, dead, ought to encourage the little thing to move along.

Quinn remained silent and waited. Trying to wait the little thing out. Send it scurrying away. She strained her ears listening. Feeling annoyed and more than a little intrigued.....

After about ten minutes, the sounds stop. Had anything else heard those scratchy entreaties? Quinn doesn't hear anything for some time. No walking, or retreating. The silence stretches, as silent as a dead tomb. It was fitting, considering the location.

Quinn moved up top, into the area of the tomb where the raised marble coffin was. She explanded her hearing beyond the mausoleum. Listening for humans or other entities nearbye. She kept to the deep shadows, so if she needed to hide, she could.

Outside of her haven, an odd sound - an annoyed chuffing sounds. Perhaps an animal? The outside is quiet, and apparently as deserted as usual for this time. Then silence descends.

What could that have been? Was there a reason for this visit and as it tied to the dead feeding victim? What was Quinn's next move?

Quinn refused to check out the animal waiting outside. Best to give it nothing. She could not risk exposing her haven, especially to another Kindred. An unknown Kindred at that. This did help resolve her to more haven security than she currently had , but she refused this. She couldn't entertain it for a second. Sometimes being Kindred just fucking sucked. She had to get the coronor's report somehow. Another night.
