Seth Kind's announcement was met with a small chuckle from Moretti, who glanced over to Rebecca Simmons . A genuine mirthful smile crossed the Sheriff's face as she shared a silent moment with the Doctor, who was at times someone she clashed with and at other times a friend.

Had this been the Court they thought they'd be going to tonight when they rose from their daysleep? Clashes over Humanity, Clans tearing themselves apart, challenges to duels, and now, suddenly Carthians?

Things had been serious. Deadly serious, and tensions were building. But there was something about a mercenary just being like 'lol, I'm a Carthian now bitches' that released it for her. It was actually funny, now.

Whatever they'd expected, they hadn't gotten it... but it was a night none of them would soon forget.

Rebecca's eyes shifted to the Mehket with the concealed beast as he drew near her. With a smile she said, "We have seen many interesting Formal Courts as of late. And no, you're not interrupting at all. My nights have been quite well, how about yourself, Mr. Mitnick?" He wasn't lying; it had been some time since she recalled them speaking, so she was looking forward to the opportunity.

Then Seth made his announcement. She did not comment, only smiled as her eyes caught Lina Moretti 's. She had no idea when or if Ashley would return and she hadn't seen Graham since the Clan meeting. She had said they would meet at the start of the month and yet no contact. It made her wonder if the man even wanted to be in Sacramento at all. Rebecca had not specific animosity towards the Movement, only the attitudes of those who usually chose it.

Derek's head swivels, glancing at the impromptu announcement from Seth. It slowly comes back to face Rebecca.

"I am so blessed to have such a colorful Family," he remarks with veiled frustration to the Harpy. "It seems we have that in common. But that aside, I've been quite busy these nights. The demands for enjoying the comforts of security require every resident's participation, it seems. As I'm sure you're already well-aware."

Dirt Nap hangs out in the spot where the Sheriff Lina Moretti had staked out, though both she and Mitnick are currently engaged with other interactions. He doesn't seem to mind the relative oasis of peace and quiet by himself as he watches the Court and listens for further developments.

Jacque finds a nice chair to seat himself in hopes of having a quiet rest of his evening. As the Prince approaches Rebecca, however, he makes sure to be attentive to what is discussed.

And so it was that time rapidly came toward the closing of Court. With a glance to Dirt Nap, who had come by to wordlessly hang out in her spot and watch as he so often did, the Grand Wyrm gave a little nod toward the door. Bowing to Alessandra in final farewell for the evening as she went about her final bits of business with the Harpy, Lina headed for the stairs and the daysleep that would come soon in these lengthening Springtime days.

Lina Moretti exits the scene. Good scene, y'all!

As the night was coming to an end quickly, Elettra walks through the main area of court on her way out into the night. She gives the proper nods and bows on her way out.

The luxury of extended evenings was evaporating with the heat. Garrett Prosper had already said his goodbyes to the Prince, and gives polite nods to the other officers before sauntering off to head home for the morning.
