Mable walks the short distance over to talk with Garrett.

Jacque takes a moment to collect himself from the last conversation before holding a gaze towards Vivian York and Elettra Vitale to see if they would welcome additional company. He had not met the Priscus yet and it would be a pleasant shift in focus.

[Dirt Nap]

Dirt Nap enters the court dressed in his formal wear that he had worn once before, at the fire and ice formal court. He looks warily around, and keeps to himself, quietly.

[Derek Menzies]

Seeing a fellow wallflower in Dirt Nap, Derek idly walks over to him. He nods, forcing a smile towards the contending Beast. They had both appeared at these events several times in the past season and by now there was at least a general familiarity, though they never shared a word together.

"It's, uh, Dirt Nap , isn't it? I, um, just overhear the name mentioned sometimes. I'm Derek Mitnick. Clan Mekhet. Just thought I'd, uh, introduce myself since we both have a free moment. How're...uh...how are things?"

There's really no way to avoid the awkwardness of trying to be social. Even more so with Derek behind the wheel. But it's a Formal, and an effort should be made, if just for appearances.

Madcap departs the company of Mable Wood, Garrett Prosper, and Thomas Boyle, striding a few steps away as his eyes remain on the group surrounding the Seneschal. The enticing woman was one of two his Beast truly feared, so Madcap took a moment, smoothing out the front of his suit.

Then he continued with a sense of purpose.

As Thomas Boyle leaves the small gathering of Savages off to the side, Garrett Prosper leans away from the conversation to address him,

"The compliment is noted, Herr Boyle. It is refreshing to meet another Lord that understands the importance of intellectual pursuits and polite conduct. Your Priscus should be taking notes as she prattles on excitedly about her active torture of the Kine for the sheer thrill of it. Her grace is unfortunately diminished as she chooses her Beast as her partner, perhaps the young need a little tutoring in science. But alas, she is the Harpy as well, is she not? Is this the cultural standard of the First Estate of Sacramento? Is this what the Ventrue follow for example?"
