There was a small shake of her head, “I’m not sure. Its magic seems to be Prime, and that’s not something I’ve gotten into. But let me look again.” And she does.

“Personally, I’d rather not tangle with a high-powered Willworker, I’m running very low. But cutting off their access sounds like a great idea to me. At least until we can regroup, bring more people and take them out.”

A nod, “Clearing out whatever might be left would be best I think. I have a bit more in me, and I can get more if needed.” It would fucking hurt, but she’d do it to keep them alive.

Alastor hurls a scrying portal through the hole in the roof. When he looks through it he spies rugged mountain and thick forest that steams in the sunlight. Most definitely not in the United States. There is a small dirt road roughly south east of their position but the Mastigos knows how distances can deceive, especially given their height and general location.

That leaves a long ritual in order to get home. Or attempting to prize open the way like before.

I get the general impression that the group want to go back the way they had come. That requires Follow Through to pull open the Portal once more. Alastor Cross

Alastor grunted. "We're nowhere near Kansas, kids."

Racking the shotgun's slide, he took deadly aim at the mirror. A supernatural connection between the Sanctum in Sacramento and something, cutting off their easy access to whatever this was. Whatever this was, it was a being of such incredible power that could launch the sort of attack that had started this Time War.

Raising the shotgun, he blasted the item once, twice, three, four times, until it was destroyed. Then, reloading new slugs into the weapon and dropping the Ward over the area, he called down the Supernal through the Abyss. His Nimbus flared, and bruises spread over his arms, but he cleaved away any final sympathies between himself and the mirror to ensure he was entirely clean of connections. Finally, he gave a nod and said, "Let's roll."

A wave of the hand, and he pulled open reality back to the Sanctum in Sacramento, ready for the fight to continue. They'd been there for so little time that it was possible they hadn't even drawn any attention there yet.

Supporting the wounded Thyrsus, Phoenyx moves the both of them towards the portal, drawing her pistol as she goes. "If it's bad, go for cover. No flashy shit, and no heroics. We're all getting out, you hear?" she says to Aurora.

They move into the portal back to Sacramento.

Of course they weren't. Though part of her is curious as to where they were exactly. But it wasn't the time.

The sight of the bruises forming on Alastor let her know she wasn't the only one pissing off the universe today. Which kinda made her chuckle softly.

Looking to Phoenyx, she nods, "No flashy shit." but she'd still heal them if she had to.

The mirror is strong and resistant. Despite the Arrow's carefully contrived barrage, the object is in one piece - however it is brutally pitted, scarred, and cracked. If it is serviceable at all, it will be greatly diminished. Alastor can hope that that is enough.

He scours away his astral signature and rips open the portal to the Sanctum from which they have come...

Again they find themselves in a well lit room with walls that are more glass than brick. The floor is a beautiful, austere, wood. The rich austerity is reflected in the little plinths with sculpture and expensive pottery and the lack of other furniture. Twisting about, the floor-to-ceiling windows reveal a well manicured garden stretching out quite some distance. The room has three exits: a black door, seemingly without a handle or lock; and two archways off to the right - one archway merges into a stairwell and the other appears to lead into a large kitchen and dining space.

Conversation, muted and distorted due to the shape of the walls, warbles from deeper into the building.
Alastor Cross one of the sculptures (a pyramidal object) drags through dimensional space (even though it is stationary) like a much larger object than it is physically. Xadun Phoenyx senses this as well, but she see's a power Artefact resplendent in Supernal, nay Atlantean glory - humming and pulsing with power contentedly on its plinth. Aurora Orianna senses the object's power as well. Her Life-based Sight is unable to penetrate much further the pyramidal sculpture's mystery.

Alastor feels, rather than see's, the massive spatial disruption and warping that lies beyond the black door. He knows now where that portal leads - to the domed chamber.

Alastor held a finger up to his mouth, indicating the need for silence. With a gesture to his ear, he pointed at the door leading to the kitchen. It was important that they identified how many people they might be dealing with. Following that, he stared deeply into the magic of the pyramidal object, scrutinizing it to try to determine its nature, purpose or the signature of its maker. Was this another one of the incredibly powerful Mage's artifacts?

They wouldn't have long. They'd need to engage, and quick, but if this object could help them or hinder their attack, they needed to know. They'd been dropped here by the Clock, which might mean this thing was important.

How big is this pyramid artifact, YYC?

Phoenyx helps Aurora through the portal before taking up a defensive position in the room. "It this really the time? I know these artifacts are important, but we'll only get this shot at the Seers before the scatter." She puts her back to Alastor's watching the doors.

While she still felt weak, she could stand on her own. The pyramid thing was still there, still chock full of power. But what that power was, she had nothing.

She had other sights she could use, but she knew if they were attacked now, she needed to be ready. And studying the object was a distraction.

A hand touches her bracelet, nothing was cast, but she felt calmer knowing it was there. Her own eyes scanning the doors.
