"You make your choices." Conner says and stands. "If there is anything I can do for you please let me know." Conner says and makes his way toward the door.
Once again, it was like dealing with Conner in New York. Always walking away. Ariana was ready to give up, or stab him with his own dagger from her purse. Her patience was wearing thin and turning into frustration.
"Sometimes it is a two-way street." Ariana speaks calmly as she shoves the portfolio in her attache bag. Walking toward the door as well, she stopped in front of him. "There is one other request I have, but I would rather discuss it somewhere else, please."

"This'd be it," the Haunt croaked back. "And Anton Flores'd be the name I answer to. Deputy to the City, Bishop to the Sanctified of Sacramento. It's the former capacity I approach you in."
He gazes in the direction of the Seneschal's office for a second. When he turns back to Sarah, he maintains eye-contact, confident that the Beast's teeth-gnashing has ceased.
"Tell me, would you mind at all if asked you one or two questions? Before I point you towards the Senechal."

Bishop and Deputy? Looks like things have changed here, maybe the Covenants have actually learned to act like adults and play nice. Probably not but if this guy is really the Bishop maybe he'll know where Christian is keeping himself.
Sarah smiles politely at the Haunt. "By all means Deputy Flores, ask away."

A tight, insincere smile plays across Anton's face. "That's good," he buzzes. "I returned here myself after some absence; found more faded grudges than familiar faces. Could you tell me when it was you were last settled here?"
The Haunt recalled why the circuit was so attractive.

Sarah held her tongue for a second, still smiling politely at the Deputy. "Decades ago." She looks around the room at the other Kindred and while she can feel Beasts stronger, weaker and equal to her own but can only see one familiar face. "I certainly do not see many familiar faces in here this evening and I am not aware of any faded grudges."

"Quite a turnover we have here. I'd be surprised if you did. You were last here under Straiphen, or that time after him and before the Recluse?"
The false cordiality had left the Haunt's voice, leaving only a blunt whisper. He wondered if this one would know any of the names that'd came up during the meeting with Greyson and O'Connor. It was a long shot, but nevertheless...

Tiny Martha smiles, she was about to reply to the Prince's question when Max arrives. She offers Max a respectful nod of greeting and a curtsey and notes the parallel arrival of Sarah.
The Beast in Martha reacts to Sarah...a bite of the lip, Martha urgently grips at her lame thigh and rubs hard at her lame hip...she watches Sarah's legs and feet a moment...another one...another one... gripping hard at the edge of her long gymslip, she tries a shy smile to The Prince, not wishing to interrupt just yet to make her report.
"Good evening, sir." she offers to Max, and then waits her turn to speak

"I was here under Straiphen and under the factional mess that followed his ouster when the city was split into three separate areas of influence."
Straiphen was a name she had almost forgotten until she had made her decision to return to the city. Once that choice was made it seemed like all of the memories seemed to return, memories that remained memories. Places had changed, the Kine had changed and now that she was here in Elysium it seemed that even the Kindred had changed.
