Invictus Meeting

[Thomas Connor]

Thomas stood straight and offered a small bow to the Good Judex. When he speaks his voice is calm and collected as the Mekhet wonders how his abilities will be put to use by the First Estate. "Good Judex Twist I am skilled in combat tactics involving knives and have a solid understanding of firearms. I have experience in investigations and a good working knowledge of matters of the occult and supernatural. Also I am familiar with five powers of the blood and have developed connections with some segments of the religious and occult communities, as well as a couple of members of the local media." He wondered if he had given too much information ... or too little and simply hoped that his abilities would be of use to the First Estate.

Two Soldiers and a Speaker.

Asa could almost hear Lioni's voice in his mind, assigning Titles of Function. Then again, were Lioni here this night, she'd probably be busy in a corner sewing Cassandra's lips shut.

Invariably his thoughts continued, naturally tumbling from Soldiers and Lioni to Brandon Davis. What he would make of the two Mekhet was anyone's guess. Of course a Savage would find the Shadows too quiet for his taste, but Asa thought he could see the similarities. Good qualities.

Having the pair would let the more social members focus on their specialties without looking over their shoulders, and Asa figured that whomever might think of one of the fairer members of the Unconquered an easy mark would be quickly freed of that notion.

He looked over at Twist, curious to see what she thought, then Victoria. Asa had a suggestion of his own that would come afterward.

[Twist]

Twist listened to each response in turn. After they each finished speaking, she leaned back in her seat and was quiet while she thought. After a moment she straightened again and turned to Thomas and Conner.

"A Soldier is a professional warrior. One who is skilled in weapons and combat. Do any here deny the title of Soldier to Mister O'Conner or Mister Greyson" Twist waited to see if any would object to the title for the two men.

Turning to Ariana, her eyebrows drew together in thought, the boys had been easier but they had been more...adamant in what they had been doing, as though doing it for longer. Not that the woman wasn't passionate, that was quite clear in her voice. She just didn't quite have a title that called to her and so many that may. Turning she looked to Victoria, "Madam Donovan has potential for many titles, as her sponser- when you feel she has earned the appropriate one, you shall grant it to her."

Waiting again to see if there would be an objection, Twist then turned to the rest of the table.

"Does anyone have any further business to bring forth?"

[Asa]

"I'd like to suggest the three form a coterie," Asa said, gesturing to the new members.

"I daresay Mr. O'Conner and Mr. Greyson could benefit from Madam Donovan's etiquette training and knowledge of Invictus protocol, as she could from their presence. It would give them the opportunities to focus on their strengths."

"Temporary, unless they find the arrangement to their liking. I'd like to see all three be able to claim Meister titles, perhaps establish small academies to lure the Unaligned..."

Thomas thought for a second on the title of Soldier, it seemed a fitting designation given the emotions that had been stirring inside of his body over the past couple of months and the daydreams that sometimes visited him to remind him of qualities the Mekhet had almost forgotten he'd once possessed. He had always believed that Jacob had used Rachel to burn his soul away from the inside out but the evidence was now beginning to lead his mind in a different direction. He would have to reexamine the events of the first years of his Requiem with these new self discoveries in mind.

The new Soldier of the First Estate noticed that his posture that straightened a bit more when the Good Judex conferred the Title of Function on him. It was a very subtle change since he was already doing his utmost to uphold the military standards drilled into him before the Embrace but none the less he noticed it. When the Alder Prince spoke of a Coterie made up of three newest members of the First Estate, Thomas thought about the concept. There were enough similarities and differences between the three of them that they could be an asset to each other. It would also tie their loyalty to each other and by extension the First Estate.
