Ariana sat in her apartment at the small desk at the window. She had been assigned to three clubs in town to observe and write about. In New York, they would have been upscale and classy endeavors. At times her reviews could be life or death of a new hot spot. She had a personal fascination of how media influenced people. Starting all over again was nearly a slap on the wrist in her eyes. Fred, her editor, told her “Please be nice, you are new in town, remember.” Ariana assumed he must have read one of her not-so-nice articles about the 40/40 Club New York.

Faces. To see the many faces at Faces was a tale to be told. This venue will cater to cultural diversity in many formats. The 3 separate dance rooms will entice anyone’s appetite for the night. Make sure you take in one of their Drag Shows, some of these gal’s could be a hit on RuPaul’s Drag Race. **1/2

Tre Nightclub. Food and fun wrapped into one. With an amazing dance floor and a variety of savory items, this is your best bet for a night out after work. **1/2

Parlare Euro Lounge. If No Cover is not inviting enough, Daily Drink specials should do the trick. The ambiance is enough to let anyone have a good time. *1/2

How disdainful that she had to write about these places. Ariana wanted something more. She was smothered by her Sire in New York. Now, even though she had not been gone long, her thirsts were a desire of much more than blood. She knew one thing was certain, the ache in her veins from her Ventrue blood was rising. All those years of watching how people rose to the top were the years she took mental notes accumulating for preparation. She would have to begin rather slow, quenching the inquietude inside. She had rather hoped she was able to use her mind, for most of it anyway.

After Ariana had read some old articles from the former nightlife report, she realized a few things. The paper actually did not want honesty, they wanted paid advertising. A good portion of the clubs that Scarlet Star she should have been a DJ with that name critiqued on, seemed to suddenly take out ads in the paper the following week. Something was definitely odd.
