Henry Mason taught his daughter the nessecity of keeping her temper in check. Diane knew there was no law requiring them to verify her I.D., so while she was making her threats Diane was looking around the bank memorizing the bank's layout and studying the security procedures. Her purpose was to get herself thrown out, she was going to make them pay for cheating her out of her own money. Someone had impersonated her well enough, to fool the bank's security procedures and she was going to find out how.

Diane notices the obvious security measures, like cameras and guards, however, her quick mind also deduces that the small window of opportunity for her escape is quickly closing as one of the security men walks over to Ms. Eldridge's desk. She's smart enough to realize that if someone has assumed her identity during her absence, they have had ten years to perfect it. The last thing she needs right now is to be charged with Identity Theft... of her own identity. Besides, if this other her does indeed have all of that money, she is now a powerful force to be reckoned with... after all, the real Diane doesn't have two dimes to rub together. She certainly knows how what a well-placed bribe can do. The hairs on the back of her neck stand at attention as she realizes she is in a very bad situation.

Diane Mason stands up very slowly as the security guard approaches, then just as he is almost to her she bolt. She runs not just very fast, but with an efficiency bordering on graceful, Diane dodges the hands of the guard, flipping over the back of the chair. She drops to the ground, kneeling almost to the floor, then pushing off the floor she vaults over the central desk where people fill out their banking forms.
The other guards attempt to surround her as she lands but her agility even as a normal human thief would've been too much for them to adapt too, even before her durance, Diane Mason was known as the most nimble and resourceful escape artists. She was a practitioner of the martial discipline called Parkour, or free-running, a style of movement where the runner is not bottled by terrain but uses it to their advantage. This is practised by normal human-beings who were not supernatural in anyway. You take her knowledge of that discipline and add ten years of crawling up and down a mountain range at night and you have someone that no normal human can catch.
As Diane lands and the guards try to trap her against the central table, she lunges at the one directly in her path, grabbing him by the shoulders and using them to flip high into the air to land directly in front of the door before running out of into the evening just as the sun went down. It goes without saying that once the sun went down no human could ever catch her if she didn't want to be caught.

Ms. Eldridge smiles as she watches the young woman beat feet for the door. In her own mind, Diane executes a daring escape showcasing her preternatural acrobatic prowess... like something out an over-the-top action movie. However, in reality, she simply sprints for the door before the security guard can intercept her. Shaking her head, the Account Manager returns her attention to her phone call.

"What? No, everything's all right Theresa... just some nut. Thanks for playing along. I figured she'd turn tail if I called her bluff. Poor girl, she's obviously very disturbed. I'll tell you all about it after work. Margaritas?"

Theresa gives Rebecca a smile and a thumbs up from her desk on the other side of the office, then both women get back to work. Out in the darkening streets of Sacramento, a thought comes to Diane Peace as she runs from the bank. Her old life is truly over. Perhaps it is time for her to start a new life... to let go of fantasy and find out who she really is.

    He didn't expect that...
