"Alright." Durant spells while he sits back. "Parkour enthusiast, archer and occult scholar. Living victim to Anshega Torture, and some may add living encyclopedia. Hmm, also spirit's appeaser or pacifier."
It had been a while, a long while, since Gwen had met wolves from other packs. Which made it all that more important that she actually meet them. The pack was nice and everything, but variety was the spice of life.
She walks in, quiet and discrete, or at least as quiet and discrete as she can go anywhere. She takes a few deep breaths of the park air, and is quick to smell the new gathering. Unfamiliar wolves, and a few known faces. She veers from her quiet, idle path, and heads for the gathering.
Sally just smiled, giving the Alpha room to talk. He was the highest here and she would respect that. Plus if Star wanted to do all the talking and Sally would learn the same thats okay by her. that is until she saw someone she had not seen in forever. "Gwen, Oh my Goddess how are you." Sally stands and walks over to Sally's first true teacher of what it ment to be Ithaeur.
Matt nodded at the newest arrival, a friendly and respectful nod earned by Sally's reaction to the woman. Matt respected Sally and thus some respected by Sally got some instant respect for that accomplishment. Still a gauntlet had been thrown by the new guy. "HOG needs somebody with knowledge of spirits, I just want to learn a bit more about you two as people. Give us all a few minutes to get to know you and you'll probably end up with more than "Mercenary" work. Heck I was in your shoes when I arrived in this city and now I'm a part of something."
Dusk listened as Starseeker and Durant spoke, then when Faithkeeper dashed off to see the approaching Uratha who came by, she waited to speak when Matt had finished.
"As i told Matt, i came to Sacremento looking for my own pack after i saw how my mother was with hers. After my first change in college, i left. I was studying Occult History, is was something i always had enjoyed. I traveled from LA to Mexico to build my own occult library, i only seemed to bore my self by being alone and nobody to bounce around information with, thus why i came here."
Dusk took a moment to pause and breathe before she continued.
"I am good at Expressing myself, Persuading others and i can be very good at Intimidating with others during an investigation as well. I have excellent sense of direction and a great meditative mind, i am good at brawling and using a gun but i excell all those areas in occult rituals and rites; when it comes to my best skill, it's Rituals and Rites. Some may say they hold precedent amongst all the rest but i would disagree. Plus i have a close connection to the spirits, especially Gafflings and i have an Eidic memory if that helps any."
Dusk looked at the lamb and potatoes as she took the last bite, sitting the emppty container down, she looked at the others and waited politely.
Durant streched, a little annoyed. We could stay here sharing stories all night, I'd rather prove what Im made of. After pondering something, finally he spoke. "What you think if we share our iniciations?" He asked around.
Starseeker stands for the alpha of the Sworn "Gwen, hey! Nice to see ya again how's the pack doing? Please, take a sammich, there's plenty."
He was about to ask some follow up questions to the new pair, but then the Iminir spoke up again. Sigh, Chantay would have probably been a better person to deal with him. "I'm sorry, I'm not the negotiator of my pack, I'm the Alpha. So this is probably just a teensy bit blunt. I don't know if your last Alpha encouraged a smart mouth in every pup that crossed his path or if he was just too senile to correct you when you got lippy. I don't much like the attitude, and frankly I've met too many Storm Lords that think since Skolis accepted you it means he sucks your dick too." He nods at the ladies. "Pardon my language ladies."
Looking to Dusk now, "Dusk, we had a member of the pack that shared some of your interests, but he... left a few months ago. If you would like, I could arrange a meeting with the rest of the pack to see if we can all tolerate each others company. What do you think?"
OOC Note: Text without being surrounded by "" Isnt speach, is thought.
OOC Note: SS is referring to the laconic response before your last post, which he obviously feels is flippant
Durant bursted into laughter, almost until he as out of air. When he regained his composure, he shocks his head. The following word are uthered with all due seriousness.
"Then you've never meet a real Storm Lord. I dont feel entitled to anything. I lack your definition of noblesse oblige, I only stand by what I swore: Doing my job without showing weakness. You might think thats the most selfish Oath a Tribe could have taken but I digress. Urfarah showed weakness and the world is still paying for it. Skolis-Ur, driven by grief did the same and the result was the scathering of the First Pack. And for the record, the link I feel with my Firstborn isnt something that pleasures my ego in a masturbatory way: Every waking hour I feel the cold gaze of a God judging if Im still worty of his blessing, so if you've meet an Iminir who acts like his iniciation was the end of the deal and he gets to be king of the hill based on that, he doesnt deserves the honor. What I am? Im a workaholic and an adrenaline junkie who happens to have gotten a job that supplies his vice in a vicious circle. And I belive my last Alpha would have ripped your tongue out calling you on a blasphemy. So, you lucked out Im not him. So, please, tell me if you will rebuke into another childish display in an attempt of infuriating me and I'll leave before you continue to embarass yourself."
