"Anshega...." Mateo growls low, somewhat under his breath.
"Anyone got any plans for taking these spidery bastards down?"
"Anshega...." Mateo growls low, somewhat under his breath.
"Anyone got any plans for taking these spidery bastards down?"
Tony looks unsurprised. Julia covers her nose with her paws.
White Paws Walks into the park and sees what can only be the meeting and walks up to it. "Sorry I'm late."
To the remarks everyone adds about the Pure, Gwen adds, with no small degree of anger, "Well, apparently, their plan worked. I've been trying to wake up spirits and keep them alive, but they just die off." She bites her lip before she goes on and says too much, since she figures people have tried that already. But hel, it's worth mentioning, she figures.
"That would be me."
Ciaphas, who had tagged along with White Paws looked a little confused by the annoucement of the source of the problem.
"Pardon me for the dumb question, but I was under the impression the Pure were... on the spirit side of the conflict so to speak. Doesn't this go against their creed ? The part that doesn't cover the make our lives short and miserable, I mean."
Tony speaks up: "I think I can answer that one. They want to resurrect Pangaia. Though they have taken the unusual step of bringing the spirit world into the physical world, instead of the other way around. As I understand the ritual, the spirits on this side are sustained, while anything without Rank stays behind. It's a mess on the other side. As far as Randall has been able to figure, they've done something to the spirit of the local area. It's majorly pissed off the spirit of the city."
Grip-of-Steel thinks for a moment, but decided to give it a try and opens his mouth: "If the Pure have pissed off the spirit of the city, maybe we could try to make it our ally. I can't think of a stronger ally, it would greatly help us to drive away the anshega."
"That would seem like the most reasonable thing to do, petition the City Spirit to align itself with us." He thinks for a moment before continuing. "I dont know if this has been done.... but would all of us joining, into some sort of uber-pack and getting the Spirit of the City as our temporary totem be possible? I know it would probably be hard on all of us, losing rank or alpha-ship, but if we all mobilised to take out the Pure, or atleast cripple the fuckers, I think it would be worth it."
Mateo goes silent, realising how crazy his suggestion was, but sometimes hard times called for measures that were usually considered crazy.
"Your instincts are sound, Mateo. Elder Cahalith have told great tales of previous wars. Large packs rarely last long before fragmenting, but the pack structure has occasionally been used to coordinate large groups in times of war. It is a type of pack where members are packs instead of individual werewolves. A meta-pack, I suppose, with its own powerful totem. In our case, it is entirely possible that the spirit of the city would agree to serve as such a totem."
