Erika had dug through the various newspapers, looking for buildings for sale, rent, whatever she could find. She walked past downtown, and into an area she didn't particularly know, but she'd cross-referenced every library and bookstore, and then marked off the buildings near them. It was one thing to open a business, it was another entirely to open one badly. She came across a rather large cathedral-like building and grinned...it didn't look shabby, at least..would take a little bit of work, but that's what contractors were for.

She pushed open the unlocked door, and pulled out a flashlight, taking a quick look around...a few homeless people..that could be taken care of, too. Particularly since she needed a little sustenance at the moment; one of them wouldn't be walking out in the morning. She'd made a decision though, this was the perfect building.

Erika stepped into the building, and grinned. She owned the place now; time to start making it look like it held books. She'd called up several contractors, and had come up with just the right mix of dishonesty and appropriate pricing. It would be an odd arrangement for the moment, with her predicament, but she'd work it out. And so would they, if they wanted her money.
