Asa tried to ignore the pretty girl's look of curiosity as she took the key card from him. She had worked the desk for a while, and was used to his... habits. Usually he had a room for several hours. Never for twenty minutes. Thank goodness she was professional enough to not say anything stupid.

Twenty minutes was more than long enough feed, and more than long enough to spend wondering why he wasn't interested in the woman other than feeding. She was definitely beautiful... they always were. The agency knew his tastes and valued his business.

Apparently his tastes had changed.

It was doubly frustrating feeling this way after the way she had greeted that... whatever he was, in the jeans and torn shirt, at the party. He sighed, ignoring the girl's raised eyebrow as he left the desk.

Everyone said Kindred didn't feel this way.

Before the elevator doors opened, he had composed his face into it's usual smile.
