Matthew returned to his apartment, his grief still very present, but no longer overwhelming. The talk with Taylor had definitely helped, even though it had raised the prospect of the Hunters.

With everything going on, he certainly didn't want to stay in one of the parks for a few hours, and he certainly wasn't leaving the city, but perhaps he could follow at least part of Taylor's suggestion. But if he was going to meditate, he at least wanted to be in a comfortable form. He shifted into Urhan and curled up on the apartment floor.

It wasn't easy moving past his swirling emotions, but he did eventually find his inner calm. He left the trance with a new sense of focus, ready to handle whatever came next.
