Technique felt the pull towards the corner, barely even recognizing that the other Awakened, other than Ariadne, were on the floor with them. "Follow me for a second....and be prepared to ask some questions." He says, going down the hallway that held the other housekeeping lady. As he walks up and gets her attention, he smiles nicely and extends a hand to the lady. "Disculpe. Yo estoy con el "American Standards Asociación de Hoteles y Negocios, y me preguntaba si usted tiene el tiempo para contestar algunas preguntas para mí y mi amigo el Sr. Olin?"

Animus opens the now-dormant door, only to be confronted by a brick wall across the doorframe. His heart rate picks up, a cold fear worming through him. No, there's no one there, I know this. It's just a memory.

Slowly, hesitantly, he forces his body to walk forward, stepping through the doorway and taking in the room beyond. See? Not really there.

If only he could convince his racing pulse of that.

Triquetra cocks her head to the side slightly, watching curiously as Animus hesitates at the door frame. What was that all about?

Not paying it much mind, for now at least, she follows him into the room. Her eyes instantly scan beds, tabletops, pretty much any surface you could leave something sitting on. Unlikely as it was, it'd be awfully convenient if the object of their search wasn't really hidden. Not to mention how much time it would save. She also gave Animus another glance, "So we're looking for little stones, right?"

[Animus]

At the question, Animus' hand drifts almost unconsciously toward the ring strung around his neck, before he catches himself. He shakes hi head, trying to clear away the remaining distraction. "Anything that seems to be impinging on the lines. I think, before, it was in a box on the mantle. But who knows how much of that is still relevant." He continues to scan the room, but it's apparent thinking about the past is sapping the Thyrsus' focus.

Joshua stays lets Animus and Triquetra in and almost follows them, but then takes a stance at the door. With three in the room they'd just be getting in each others' way and obscuring things; the two could be more efficient. Instead he stays the door, watching the hallway.

[Ariadne]

Ariadne nods and follows a step behind Tech. The notion that this was going to turn into a complete debacle slowly taking over her mind. If they were here then why didn't have the place scoped? Maybe they did and she had missed something? Then Ariadne finally breaks through.

I wonder if Life healing leaves scars?

When Tech starts to speak spanish she smiles politely and waits to see what he learns. While pulling upon the supernal to let her ease drop on the conversation.

The room Animus sees beyond the not-brick-wall is standard hotel fair. Nothing truly outstanding in any way. Two double beds, cleanly made and ready for the next guests, a few chairs surrounding a small table, a 20-inch TV. There are quite a few drawers available around the room, from the beds' end tables to the dresser, to the closet large enough for coats and pants. Enough to store a few weeks' worth of clothing for a few people. A mini-fridge fits neatly next to the air conditioning unit in the room's corner.

There is a small bathroom, bathtub included, connected to the room's entrance. A few shelves are lined above the sink, to either side of the round mirror.

The maid stops her trolley at Technique's question, and looks at him. She hesitates a moment, before replying, "Supongo, señor. ¿Sabía el señor Olin decir esto estaba bien?" She has a slight accent as she speaks. Most likely English, though it's not easy to tell.

Translation, with apologies for any possible bad wordings.

When you were dealing with professionals, there were certain places you didn't have to bother looking. Drawers, under a mattress, in a corner of the closet...no self-respecting spy would hide something in a place so easily accessible, in a place that your average person would consider a good hiding spot. Unfortunately, she had no idea whether they were dealing with professionals for not. So they'd have to look everywhere.

She glances back towards Josh, cocking her head slightly to one side? "Why not just close the door?" Without really waiting for an answer she turned back to the room and tossed a pair of latex gloves from her purse to Animus. A Guardian always had to be ready for this sort of thing. Then, after slipping her own pair on she began rifling through the drawers.

So, i hope you understand a bit of discretion when discussing this meeting with him. He isnt aware that he is eligible for the award...which brings us to why we are here. We havent announced our entrance because we want an unbiased view of the hotel, and are also doing background interviews of employees. If you could please be as candid as possible when answering our questions, it would be appreciated; your job is not in jeopardy, and if you give Sr. Olin a bad review your name will not be connected and will have no repercussions on you. We just want an honest view of how this hotel is run, and if Sr. Olin lives up to what we have heard. Would you be able to do this for us?

Animus slips on the gloves without comment and begins searching, even doubting that he'd find anything. The room was too neat, it screamed unoccupied. Needle in a haystack, and we don't even know which haystack to look in.

So he'd have to try another line of investigation ... even if the cost was sometimes unpleasant. Especially the type of spirits our "friends" are likely to attract. With a few whispered words, he draws in the supernal, casting his gaze between worlds.

Sighing as distraction throws his weave off-balance, he concentrates again, finishing what he started amidst the buzz of pattern overload.
