Libra just nodded to the spirit. The other fellows already have initiated a conversation.
It is a odd one, a Death spirit, but Johan doesn΄t seem unconfortable with his presence. In fact, he became curious wandering if there will be a opportunity to try to "read" that spirit.
...Why a death spirit suppose not to socialize? Maybe death should truly be seductive at all...

Ernest nods magnanimously to the spirit, though he picks up on its confusion over his demeanor. Just because he was part wolf didn't mean he'd lost his manners. The pup looks around, interested in the pack's reactions to the Death spirit. Alison and Libra seemed okay with it, but Matt and Scott seemed tense, especially Scott. He couldn't understand why- Alison had said it wasn't a threat. Maybe they didn't trust Alison yet.
After a long, awkward pause, the spirit doesn't seem to have any more useful information, or be up for a social visit, and its cowardice would make it a poor Totem, and isn't that what Alison said they were here for? "We should we get a move on, right?"

Well this death spirit was not like most of the other ones Matt had encountered before, those other spirits of death had been colder and more sure of themselves. Well why shouldn't they be, everything dies. Knowing that has got to give something a hell of a lot of confidence in it's place in existence Matt thought to himself as he watched his potential pack mates respond to the spirit. Ernest seemed almost curious as if he'd never seen a death spirit before, well Matt remembered just how new and interesting everything had been when he experienced it after his first change. The big guy Scott pretty much growled at the spirit and well the Elodoth was now pretty sure that he was a Rahu and probably not a Bone Shadow. The other two potential HOG members had been quiet since crossing over to the spirit world and examined the spirit with stone faces masking their emotions.
He turned towards Alison, the wolf who had brought them all together, and spoke quietly "Maybe it knows something about what's going on with the River?". The spirit seemed to only want to speak with the Alpha so far so it looked like Alison might be the one who would have to ask it if anything was going on. The Death Spirit might have told her that nothing strange was going on but spirits were odd at the best of times and it's idea of strange was more than likely different than the wolves who comprised the HOG's idea of strange.

Alison thought for a moment about Matt's suggestion. Then shook her head. "Na, I doubt this thing knows anything about it. It never leaves and hardly knew anything about the bell building and is just over there."
Looking over to Ernest she continued, "Ernie's right. We should get movin'. Seein' things with our own eyes will tell us more than hearing about it. At least until we know what we are dealing with and who to ask. Besides I think river spirits might know more anyway. Lets go."
Alison shifted into her wolf form and soon a small red wolf was standing where she had been just moments before. She looked back over her shoulder to her charges waiting for them to get ready and when they were ready started off toward the river.
Scott loudly drops to all fours and shifts to Urshul.

Matt thought on what Alison said for a second and wondered if he had heard correctly, that this death spirit in front of them didn't know anything about what was going on. Seriously, what kind of little spirit didn't bother keeping track of what the big bullies on the block were up too so they could hide if things got crazy? That bench must have been the sight of more death than Gettysburg or the spirit must be higher than Afroman, Jay and Silent Bob. Well the River was that way and the Alpha and Angry Guy were already in the process of changing and heading North, so Matt shifted himself to Urshul and a big wolf with dark brown fur, the same color as his hair in hishu, ran with Alison and the rest of the new HOG. Leaving Forrest Gump death spirit back on his bench.

Note: Since Frac's on a mini-hiatus I'm going to do a bit of ST hand waving and say that Ernest is staying behind to keep an eye on/examine the park...or something along those lines.
Update received and what preparations considered necessary made the newest incarnation of the Heart of Granite set off towards river. Though, the river wasn't wear their purpose lay. And perhaps it was blind luck, perhaps because they subconsciously gravitated towards a likely spot, perhaps because the reactionary nature of the Hisil subtly funneled them to the right spot...but perhaps a journey to the river wasn't necessary.
They were walking down the reflection of a residential boulevard when they heard it. A deep woof, followed by a snarl and the crashing of two bodies against each other. Then what sounded an awfully like a decent-sized individual ejected forcefully out of a door. From where they were they couldn't see what had occurred, but the direction was not hard to determine.
Scott quickly turns to the direction of the house and barrels towards the yard. Stopping at the front of the yard, he looks behind him at the other pack members and growls inquisitively before turning most of his attention back towards the door.

Alison was shocked that Scott would just rush off ahead into an unknown situation and especially an unknown fight in the hisil, but he was gone before she could get over her surprise and stop him.
Snarling in irritation she lead the others at a slower pace gauging the situation as she approached. To her it was likely spirits and if there was one thing you did not do it was rush up to them, especially since many spirits didn't like dealing with werewolves and there were many strong spirits out there.
As she approached Scott and the disturbance Alison took in the surrounding area to see if there were any other threats and what the source of the disturbance was.

Upon hearing the uproar in front of them Matt watched as Scott ran off towards the disturbance ahead. Alison was taking a more cautious approach to the situation and Matt, still in his big, bad wolf form, took up a position on her more exposed flank close enough to support her if she needed it and just far enough so that an enemy couldn't hit them both with a single attack. His Alpha covered, well potential Alpha anyway, he turned his attention to examining the area nearby for any hostile spirits or more information about the clash up ahead. With time to think the Elodoth is almost sure that he heard something before the crash, a noise that sounded almost like a dog's bark.
