Grrface moves through the portal.
Derek had planned to be the last through, but with Arch waving him in, he pushes himself through the surface of the mirror and into the Hedge.
Arch took a deep breath and walked through.
Narration: The band of searchers is back in the Hedge, in what looks like an alien crop circle. No sign of the mirror that deposited them there can be seen. The time has shifted to early afternoon. The sky is a brilliant azure blue, making the green of the Hedge shrubs and trees pop out even more than usual. Everything seems color-saturated, no pastels here. A summer breeze blows, carrying the scent of meadow flowers mixed with the faint but cloying scent of roses and lilies- and something far more disturbing.

Derek and Grrface look around the circle and see that there are many paths leading out. But which one to follow?
Betony Rue is startled. The faint but familiar scent of fear tickles her nose, teasing her senses with a thousand intoxicating possibilities, and draws her toward an opening in the hedge, at the bottom of the crop circle.
Al Adin catches the scent, too, although for him the scent presents itself as something fowl and unpleasant, like week-old garbage.
SFear. For others it was distasteful but when Betony smelled it on others it was sweer. It had the hot pungent taste of spice and the bitterness of of salty tears. That, for the Jasons woman, was a savory feast. The teachings of both her court and Keeper made sure of that. No matter how she might fight against, it was in her nature.
"There is something down that way." she whispered, pointing towards the path. Her finger stood out against the brightness of the landscape; a darkness piercing through the color towards the shadow of fear.
"Yes, smells like garbage to me." Al-Adin is sniffing the air, his inner Beast aspect revealing itself.
