Jacob hadn't been seen much if at all in well over a month. Perhaps two at this point but it wasn't that he wasn't around. Taking his instincts as one of the Beasts, His skills in Parkour, and just plain searching the old fashioned way Jacob had taken some street maps and slowly been marking out locations real and false for the doors in and out of the hedge.
He'd spent weeks hunting largely in the world of mortals but also making trips into the hedge as well to find the doors and where they crossed from one place to the other. Marking each location on his maps. Marking each false trail as well. Taking in every bit of information that he could that might be useful. He didn't have the best skills for the work but that didn't stop him or shake his determination in slowly finding his way.
After he'd found several he also started trying to figure out how to lock the doors and keep things from simply wandering through them. Particularly dangerous enemies.
Today after all of his work and making his notes and maps it found him in an empty lot where was making a guess that a door might be. The place had been practically used as a dump since it was out of the way. A few broken windows, a couple of door jams. Even a rusted out car all looked like potential possibilities.
That was when his phone rang. He only carried it really for Nyssa but it looked like somebody else was actually taking advantage of being able to reach him with him being out so much.
He takes a couple of rings before he actually gets it answered. "This is Jacob."
