After a somewhat confusing but (hopefully) enlightening conversation with the local Urathacrazy ladyelder the Shadow Seekers plus Brandon continue their trek along the edge of the River. For a while they see nothing noteworthy. But really, how long does that ever last for a werewolf?
All wolves should roll Wits + Occult + Primal Urge.

And the werewolves find that it does, indeed, not last long. All four of them spot the spirit that slips into the city streets. It looked like it had been some sort of dog-spirit, once. A Doberman perhaps. But it's been changed now, twisted. A multitude of subtle, nigh incomprehensible changes, as well as a few more obvious ones. The lengthened whip-like tail, the patches where fur was simply missing, and even the knees on its hind legs reversed for some inexplicable reason. Not that it seemed to slow the apparent Magath any.
Matthew, Shadow Tongue, and Sally will also note that it seems to have come from the Marina...where they know the Locus guarded by the two Magath-fish to be.
"The Marina" Sally said aloud. "It came from the Marina."
Is there any roll I can make to figure out what might have happened to it

There's no way that I know of a werewolf to figure out how a Magath became a Magath just by looking at it.

Matthew places himself in the Magath's path, first tongue words rasping harshly from his Urhan throat. <<Where are you going?>>

The spirit jumps slightly in surprise at the sudden visage of the Uratha in front of him, apparently it hadn't noticed the pack. It's eyes dart briefly to Matthew's paws, before rising to look him in the face. <<What? Where go? Nowhere.>>
