The first part of Arch's statement brings a slight frown to Rick's face. Being distracted in the Hedge was deadly far too often to be an advisable state of mind. Not that Arch probably had to be told that. But it seemed odd that she'd be wandering around in the Hedge without her mind on her surroundings. He supposed that he'd just have to be all the more vigilant, then.
He dwells for just a little bit on the path, and his reaction to it. Usually on a path this size he'd have been nervous, constantly taking care not to drift too far from its center lest he snag himself on the thorns. Now, he wasn't quite so worried about it. Was the Magi's blessing making him a bit careless, or was it simply something that he really didn't have to fear much anymore? He'd have to ponder that a bit, later.
"Well then, lead the way." Not that she wasn't already, but...figure of speech and all that.
