Matthew trots to the riverbank just north of the marina in Urhan and waits for his packmates to catch up. It had been a long time since he had talked with Eternal Sentry. Maybe they'd get lucky and meet her now. If not, this was as good a place to start patrols as any. There was always the chance of coming across something else of note.
Sally trots along behind Matthew, also in Urhan. She was excited to be on the hunt again with her pack. She was still sad about the 3 pups who didn't stick around but at the same time she was okay with it because the core three were still together and still strong. As she padded along behind her alpha the thought of James came to her head for some reason. She hadn't heard from James in about a month. Which wasn't terribly odd but what made her think of him now?

And the Urhan Shadow Tongue brings up the back. Andrew sighed inwardly. What was there to learn from an old bat?

Sally and Shadow Tongue soon feel the familiar network falling around them, linking the pack.
Unspoken Communication
'We're going to head northward. Watch for Eternal Sentry and keep an eye out for anything else unusual. Can the two of you watch the Shadow also?'
With those instructions given, Matthew begins to pick his way northward along the river bank, staying alert and trusting his packmates to do likewise.
"Yes Firebringer," Sally salys to her Alpha as one of her normally glass blue eyes turns to a hazy gray...

Brandon McKinsey had been spending a lot of time in Urhan. The most he had to worry about in terms of the authorities were animal control officers and there wasn't one born that could catch him - not to mention the surprise they'd be in for if they did. The wolf form also allowed for a quick get away if he encountered strange werewolves.
Which was apparently the situation tonight.
He had gone down to the river to drink, standing on a low boat dock and lapping up water from the river, and as he left the dock he smelled them. Three of the People approaching, but he couldn't be sure as to their nature.
Instead of running he stands his ground. Paws set wide apart, head down but alert. Waiting to see if the others would notice him and what they would do - though hesitant to approach, himself. He had spent weeks hiding and running, but no more - at least not where the People were concerned. The police were a different story.

Spotting the newcomer, Matthew snarls and bares his fangs, instantly aggressive. 'Is your nose dull that you missed our territory markings?'
Or is he one of the Anshega, come to spy on us in preparation for an attack?

Sally manages to attune her sight, keeping one eye observing the mortal world while the other peered into its reflection. Motes dance across her field of vision, though there seem to be less of them this close to the river than there are further inland. More powerful spirits are a bit more scarce as well, though the ones that are present are nothing out of the ordinary. And none of them seem to be peering across the worlds themselves, or to be aware of the Urathas' presence.
She sees nothing else that would be considered the least bit unusual, which among other things means that she doesn't see any Magath, for the gift's brief duration. And after a few seconds her eye unclouds as her vision returns wholly to the material world.

Shadow Tongue throws his senses across the guantlet ans asked by his alpha, even able to hear the other side as well.
As the glimpse come to a close Shadow Tongue turns his attention on the intruder wolf.
This close to the river, he was likely a Ansheega Spy. Did this mean the War had finally started? Shadow Tongue slowly moves back out of view as they approach the intruder. 'I'll flank him.' And Shadow Tongue does just that, rounding slowly to so as to surround this young wolf using the darkness to hide his form.

As Sally pears across the gauntlet into the spirit world she relays the information of what she sees back to the pack. "Maybe he is new in town and looking for a pack." Sally says relying on Luna's guidance. "Luna may have guided him to us." Sally thinks to her pack, "Or maybe his a Pure spy." Sally spoke that last part without fear in her voice but she was bothered, If this indeed was a pure he was likely not alone.
