The main ballroom of the Sterling Hotel appears to have been transformed into a delicate kingdom of Japanese artwork, statues, and royal trappings. The large room has plenty of plush seating that all seems to be facing a large gilded chair set at one end of the room. There are other chairs, smaller then the main chair but bigger then the rest of them that are placed in a semi-circular fashion facing the larger chair. These seats are reserved for the head of covenants, clans, and other kindred with titles. There also appears to be men and woman dressed in either the traditional armor of the samurai or traditional kimonos standing at the back wall. They seem to be in a state of contentment and do not appear to be very aware of their surroundings. However, they do have smiles on their faces and will be eager to please any who approach them.
There are a few large areas that have been cleared of all furniture. In these areas are men sparring with one another. Some of the fighting is completely soundless. Other sparring partners are breathing heavily and small grunts of effort can be heard.
Some of the warriors wear obvious clan colors and shields. Others do not wear anything of the sort, their armor seeming more like pieces slapped together for protection. There is also a scattering of ninja among the fighters, these being the most silent during the sparring. They also seem to move with an ease the others do not and the armor they wear is very light, seeming to be little more then heavy clothing.
Madison stands at the entrance to the ballroom dressed in a purple kimono, her hair done up with small amethysts woven through it in an intricate pattern. A large man stands next to her by an equally large table. A sign reading: Weapons Check has been placed on the table. She smiles at those who approach the door and bids them a good evening in Japanese, bowing to show her respect. She motions for them to enter the room and make way for the rest of the guests.
