Alice felt the cue that Nightfall gave her as she looked at her cards realizing that she didn't have four of a kind again. He watched for her chance to snag a spoon, but was curious about the question he asked. She also wanted to know what Gianna saw in the two of them.

"I attended Art School in San Francisco." Simon reveals when Jack mentioned he was from that city. "I lived in Los Angeles before my Durance. I suppose I still do, in some way. I've resided in Sacramento for quite a few years, though many would not know it. I am an Artist, and sometimes we can be quite.. reclusive." he smiles a little

Gianna looks up as she is beaten again, remaining neutral. Instead, she thinks about Nightfall's question.
"Anyone who is willing to go at any lengths to change is worth a little flutter, wouldn't you both agree?" Her eyes gaze at Alice's scar and then back to Nightfall as she re-dealt the hands.

Alice grinned when she saw her cards and reached out to take a spoon. Maybe I have a chance in this thing after all, she thought to herself.

Gianna picked up her cards and saw three Kings. Always an ominous indication. She laid them out as Nightfall grabbed the remaining spoon and simply grinned
"Marvellous!" She lent down to remove a small notebook from her WalMart bag. The corners of its cover was bent and slightly ripped. In fact, it did seem as if should fall apart at any moment. Plucking a pencil from a pocket (the same one as the deck) Gianna began to jot down something before turning her attention to Alice and Nightfall.
"Time to see who I owe a favor to, it would seem."
