O-Yama and Argent leave Asylum to venture deep into Sacramento's ghetto, where dope pushers and rival gangs sit in front of paint-peeled facades and kill each other over a block's worth of concrete. The junkies and prostitutes who stumble by, for their part, really don't care which color bandana is in charge, so long as they're sellin' that rock, that needle. The old men who sip forties on stoops can tell when trouble's comin' just by watching how many, and how fast, cars roll down the neglected, potholed streets.
The cops mostly ignore this place, so long as the denizens don't encroach upon the downtown bastion of iPod listening, short-shorts wearing, jogging yuppies. Cops aren't the only government service that has abandoned the projects- after that ambulance was stolen a few months back, the quickest way to the hospital is to steal a car.
Which is why it appeals to many of the city's homeless at night. Not during the day, of course- you can't get blood from turnips. But once the bars and clubs downtown have winded down and there's few pedestrians left to beg, they make their way back to this second city to take refuge.
Some find their way to the Helping Hands mission, which is where Khart hooked up with the Rever'nd's men, and thus, Argent and O-Yama's destination tonight.
Please post how you traveled, how you're dressed, and feel free to discuss strategy prior to approaching the Mission.
