Twist gave a smile and began to move toward her vehicle again.
She let a mildly shocked look cross her face as he called them sorcerers. She recalled the meeting she had watched with the Prince and had little doubt that that was who Konstantin had run into. But apparantly he had not been told. Which meant that it would be best for her to play dumb for the moment on their existence in Sacramento. It did raise the question though of if it was the Mages who placed Konstantin in the closet- which she was assuming was in the chapter house, how did they find it? While she could believe Asa setting up an alliance with them to deal with Bethem, he was a threat to all, she didn't think it would be in the deal to reveal the covenant havens to them. That was too large a breach of trust.
She glanced at the note he pulled out. She was tempted to ask to see it, but he said that the Sheriff had already offered his assistance in the matter. She would leave it to him- Arnold knew her number if he needed her. She would need to send Asa a text though to tell him that she had put a name to the 'looter'.
She laughed lightly, bringing her focus back to the conversation at hand. "I don't know- they seemed easily persuaded to join the fight against Bethem. Should you try to help them hunt rats you may find yourself the true rat. But I agree- it is the honorable thing to do. Perhaps there are some that do not throw fire- them, them I wouldn't mind hunting with."
Arriving at their car she pushed the unlock button and while Konstantin was getting in she pulled out her phone and sent out a quick text before following suit.
"So-" she gave a feral smile as she started the engine, "to the Rack and food still?"
