Christian has just given his wonderful fabulous girlfriend a very nice bouquet of flowers. To which she asked if they were organic. He couldn't bring himself to lie, but she just smiled and gave him a hug anyway. It was weird though, at 2 am, when he woke up in a cold sweat, with the instinct to run.

Woosh
He's out of bed and his heart is beating at a million miles an hour. He can't decide if he need to throw up or if he needs to get air.
5 seconds
His feet decide that there's no reason to choose...
4 seconds
He's clawing at the sliding door leading to the balcony...
3 seconds
He's outside, and the air is warm, like the breath of a lover...
2 seconds
He's at the railing, looking out wondering why it's so dark...
1 second
He looks down at the parking lot, wondering why bother having an apartment if it's only on the second floor of the building...
"Huuuuuuuuuurkkkkkk"
His insides churn as half-digested Beets and Soba Noodle Salad decide to turn back and visit the world early.

He looks to the side, and there is a cat on the window, it looks at him, cocks its head, and meows at him. The odd thing is, that it is glowing, but utterly black. Its terrifying, and at the same time, comforting. *Meow*

Christian wipes his mouth clean with his hand. "Well Meow to you too." He looks at the cat, and feels a little awkward doing so. "So why are you glowing little guy? And what's with the weird vibes?"
Christian reaches over to pet the animal with his clean hand.

The cat moves its head above Christian's outstreched hand, and jumps onto his arm. Before he can blink, it is scratching and clawing at his ear, his hands passing right through it. The urge to run is stronger now. He has to get away from this cat.

"Shit!" Christian overbalances and slips off the balcony while he's trying to get this crazy animal off him. Once he starts the fall, he tries aiming for a softer patch of ground. Now he's glad that Jen's apartment was on the second floor.
I was only trying to be your friend you stupid cat ghost thing!

Christian catches his fall well enough, in fact he doesn't even feel the pain from the fall, and he's immediately running. He's got to get away from the cat, who fell off in the fall and is chasing him. Its also about three times the size as when he first saw it.
"Run, you pathetic pest." It shouts at you. It wasn't english, but you understood it just fine.

He's running, because, well, who wouldn't run from a giant creepy ghost cat that talks in a creepy language that he somehow understands?
Then he realizes that, if he does manage to run away (can he? Weren't animals faster than people? Was this even an animal?), that just means that it would go after someone else.
Christian cuts behind one of the parked cars, and wishes that he was wearing something more solid than his sweatpants.

"Get off of my car pun..." The guy looks like a businessman, though the coat seems a little frayed at the edges, and has the sheen from being pressed too many times. He's also build like a hockey player, and he's looking at you with keen interest. The same way that you look at steaks in the grocery store when she isn't looking.

Christian backpedals under that look, but he stays crouched down with the car between the cat and him. "Woah, sorry. I didn't know there was anybody out here but me."
He didn't trust this guy, and the looks creeped him out, but he probably wasn't going to come over and claw the shit out of his head."Look, there's a mean ass bobcat thing out there that's attacked me," Christian points to his mangled ear to prove it, "Could you get in your car and call animal control or something while I distract it?"
