The car rolled down the street barely going twenty as it slowly arrived at its location. Azmi had let the car glide for a bit as he took in the surroundings, the hair on the back of his neck raising.

    This must be a trap.

Azmi pulled the car up in front of the set of slums that his GPS had lead him to. Great, this is the place they send us to. Must be a Carthian Seneschal.

The thought flickered through his mind quickly and Azmi cursed himself for the classless joke even though none had heard it.

He put the car in park and turned the engine off. "This was not the place I was expecting to say the least."

He opened the car door, sliding the obfuscated swords across his back for easy access and looking around the dark streets trying to get his bearings.

“Do you think anyone will try and mug us?” Casey asks, taking in the surroundings. The surprise the girl felt at such an important member of the society of the dead choosing to live in such a place is poorly masked on the girls face as she slides out of the car and follows Azmi into the building. The man looked like he was expecting a trap, but Casey wasn’t really sure what she should do besides just follow him inside.

"Possibly, but I am doubtful." Azmi' cocked his eyebrow back towards Casey, "Though I am guessing that your appearance might get more than a few thieves interested in our intentions and vulnerabilities. How old are you?"

Azmi moved to the doorway that had been in the instructions, though the Seneschal's description had obviously not done it justice. The dingy doorway was littered with scattered fliers and discarded newspaper, the walls on either side freshly tagged, and the ceiling darkened by water stains.

The fact that anyone lived in this place, even a vampire was surprising. Azmi pushed the buzzer, hoping that it actually still functioned.

“Old enough.” Casey replies indignantly. Incidentally, the girl had only recently turned nineteen, but she didn’t really feel that it was necessary to bring all of that up. “Are you sure this is the right place? I mean I thought the people in charge were all like really rich and stuff. Why would they live in a shit hole like this? That Mac guy did say bums were hunting our kind, maybe this is some sort of trap?”

The girl wasn’t to sure it wasn’t, and she felt the monster in the back of her mind rising becoming irritated. Perhaps the tramps made their lair here, and the man had been hoping to kill two birds with one stone, taking care of some of the homeless hunters even while he dealt with the problem of unwanted new predators in his city. It seemed like just the sort of thing a selfish evil monster would do, and most kindred were, in Casey’s experience, just that.

Deacon had been wondering the streets, his thoughts on several different things until he felt his beast growl at another, his head swiveling before he noticed where it pulled. He stood at the entrance to the alley way and just tilted his head watching the woman and the man before slowly making his way down the alley way. He wore a gray and black football jersey with two large zeros on the front and back, along with black military pants and black military boots, his pants legs tied at the top of his boots. He had his thumbs in his pants pockets wishing he carried a weapon as he approached slowly.

"Some of our kind find it hard to leave places that they loved at one point, even though the place has changed over the years. This part of the city was probably once lush and beautiful, perhaps he came here when it was such a place."

Azmi paused for a second before continuing.
"Though as you might say, he could also be crazy."

Azmi noticed the man walking towards them on the barren street out of the corner of his eye. He casually glanced towards him, Azmi's eyes wandering along his frame for a few seconds looking for weaponry and then dismissing the attempt as the baggy clothing would easily conceal it.

There was no buzzer, no intercom for Korkmaz to push at the door, no security unless one considers the various-aged hoodlums sitting on the stoop, drinkin forties and laughing to be guards of some sort. These residents become much more reserved in Korky and Casey's presence, however, assuming they must be cops, city officials, or friends of that weird guy upstairs. Either way, probably not a good idea to harass them.

Heathcliff, having waited quite long enough for the new fangs in town to make their appointment with him, convinces Madison to wait upstairs as he Cloaks himself and walks down to what we'll laughingly call a lobby. Really, its' just the bottom of the stairs and some mailboxes. He looks out the window to see two he expects are his appointment, and looks where they're looking to see...Deacon?

Why is Deacon hanging around my office? This will require...explanation.

Heathcliff continues to wait, interested to see how these Kindred interact with each other. Perhaps, there is some conspiracy afoot...

Madison leans up against the wall, watching the stairs closely. While she could not see the Seneschal, she knew he was around there somewhere. She sighs in exasperation at his antics. He clearly did not understand what the term Paladin meant. He probably thought her precautionary attitude was "cute" but unnecessary. While she did agree that the chances of someone trying to attack him were slim, she was certain he did not understand her role. If he died, so did she. Literally. Meet the sun, suicide, poof, gone, ash blowing in the wind. Maybe she needed to sit down and explain this to him.

Now is clearly not the time however. She watches the front door, paying careful attention to the doorknob. It would most likely turn any moment and the two kindred Cliff is supposed to be meeting would waltz in the door......late. She supposes she shouldn't have expected anything different considering they were neonates and new to the city. But really? Come on. How long does it take to go from the damn car to the door?

Deacon just kept on his stroll, his curiosity probably going to get him killed at some point, though at the most he still wanted to know if the new vampire was a threat, he looked between the two and then looked around slowly to see if there were any onlookers. "Ahoy, may I ask what you two suspicious looking individuals are up to ?" He just gave a slight smirk knowing that he wasn't good at opening conversations but finds it funny to himself because of the impending doom it might cause.

Azmi looked over the man walking towards them inquiring as to their purpose; Azmi had a bad feeling about this. He ran his hands along his pockets as if to wipe the sweat off of them, a nervous habit from his former life.

He noted that his hand was no longer shaking. Akward social situations seemed to set him off in a way he couldn’t understand, but the chance of a fight with another predator seemed to banish that quickly. It was as if he felt more nervous speaking to someone for the first time then facing danger.

Azmi’s eyes drifted along the form of the other figure, taking in every ounce of visual data he possibly could. The predator in the back of his mind knew he could take him, but Azmi pushed back the thought knowing that a fight in front of several mortals would be pointless and dangerous.
Azmi spoke loudly enough for the new arrival to hear, “I have an appointment, perhaps if you wish to wait I can discuss in more detail what us suspicious people are up to.” He turned to Casey, knowing that the situation would invite fear and perhaps even anger from her beast.

“Ignore him and go inside, I will follow in a moment.” Azmi was going to follow her in, but wanted to make sure she was inside before backing away with his eyes on this new arrival.
