Huddling back against her bed, Helena gazed out into her dorm room, eyes darting from place to place like some crazed patient; the skin underneath was bruised and purple, the telltale signs of someone who hasn't slept for days. Can't sleep... can't let these things get to me. Dreams she could only describe as psychotic had haunted her nights for the past week, and in desperation to hold on every ounce of normality she could Helena fought against rest.

Still, it was a battle she was losing, with her head dosing off in a almost rhythmical fashion. "Damnit, no! I. Will. Not. Sleep!" She snapped, rising from her bed and striding towards the window - if she had to pace around to stay awake, then so be it.

Outside, the Gibbous moon shines down on the city, bringing its inspiring light to the buildings of the university. There is almost no foot traffic outside, most being in their dorms, or in the library, spending the night on research papers. Still, there is something about the moon tonight that, to Helena, wasn't there just a few days before. Its call is almost palpable. Come. Closer. See me. Sing to me. More psychotic delusions? Maybe. But the urge remains, undeniable, burning through every fibre of Helena's being.

    Come. See me. Closer.

She could almost hear the call, feel it creep up her spine - despite how much she struggled against it, Helena couldn't help but to be entranced. Seeing the moon through glass simply wouldn't be enough, and so she opened the window, scrambling up onto the ledge to get a better view. The fact that she now teetered dangerously two stories above the ground was lost to the girl as she gripped the walls beside her, craning her head towards the sky.

The night breeze blows its way across Helena's hair, and the moon starts to fill her field of vision. There is nothing but that white shape in the sky tonight. Nothing but that light that burns through everything else. Helena's eyes start to hurt, from the inside of all places, and the moon's voice fills her, seems like the only thing to soothe that ache.

Sing for me, it says. And really, is there any other way to sing at the moon than to howl at it? At this very moment, it doesn't seem so.

Trembling, Helena relished in the moon's glow, only to be interrupted by the burning sensation that threatened to take it all away. No! Not now! Without further ado, Helena let her voice cry out through the open air, singing not as a human but as a wolf.

This was Vinny's kinda night. Luna was pregnant and he stood under her full belly and smoked one more cigarette in satisfaction, smiling up at her pure beauty.

"Girl, you look perfect no matter how fat you become," he mused to himself, himself quite full after a couple of slices and a little indulgence at the den's locus.

Yep, tonight was going to be special.

Come closer, the presence in the sky sings. Sing. Closer. The instinct to obey, to hurl herself at the voice from above, is overwhelming. Sing of your dreams.

Over the campus, a few lights turn on, most likely from being awakened by the wolf howls sounding their way across campus.

And obey she did, kicking back against the wall and launching herself towards the sky. As she leapt, Helena raised her voice even higher and stronger of those dreams she had so long repressed - a strange paradise, of spirits and hunting beasts across the night.

...and then that fateful thing called gravity began to pull her down. Clawing futilely at the air to keep herself aloft, Helena spiraled without grace back towards the ground.

Abasi strolled through dim lite streets, the moon above offering some eerie since of peice and helping to ease tension. An echo going through the sky, but to far to make anything out. Passing it off as sounds of the night, he keeps walking. " gonna be another long night it seems."

Vinny cocked an ear to the howl and shivered. He did manage a smile though as he looked up to Luna.

"Looks like your water's broken, sweetheart." He then heads off towards the sound of the howl, hoping to deliver yet another monster into the world of man and spirit.
