Terri nods about getting hold of the Queen but then quickly frowns as she sniffs once or twice. With the stench of the bookshop and the body gone, the aroma she had smelt before going in with Rick and Nightfall had returned.
"Have one of you boys been drinking Listerine?" she asks looking between them both.

Goodwill"You want to solve that mystery?" Nightfall asked, grinning, then running his tongue over his upper lip slowly.
He did the pinkie-thumb 'call ya' sign and waved at the other two, laughing.

Terri just shakes her head as Nightfall heads off, a small smile on her face.
"You gonna call Barkley back," she says to Rick. "Isn't it bad form to keep the King of Wrath on hold?"

Rick shrugged as he brought up the number in his contacts list, "Well he's not technically on hold..."
Then he raised the phone to his ear.

|
|
|
|
|
|
"Barkley was calling about a bit of trouble in the sewers he stumbled across a while back, just wanted to make sure the team he sent down there wasn't missing any information I had that might prove valuabe. A bunch of his Summers and John Gears, by the sound of it." He doesn't offer anything more at the moment, while Nightfall was on the phone. Afterwards, perhaps, they could all figure out who was going where.

As Rick turns, he finds that Nighfall has gone leaving just the Autumn couple remaining.
"Come on, let's get out of here," Terri says with a smile, glad to be alone with her man again. "I may need help with some of these splinters."

Rick considered the mystery address for a few moments. He did want to check it out, preferably as soon as possible, but doing so would likely be dangerous. And with Alice apparently talking to Nightfall about all of this, and the Summer Court occupied by other pressing problems, he really didn't know of any available 'Lings he'd trust to back them up if they went there. So it'd have to wait.
"Yeah, let's get out of here," he skimmed his fingers across her cheek, "And get those things out of you."

As Rick touched her face, she traced her own fingers across his hand. Looking into her eyes, he knows her well enough to see how scared she was by the experience yet how resolute she is to see this through to the bitter end.
"See you back home," she says after giving him a kiss and getting into her own car.

"Yeah, see you there." He spares one last glance towards the bookshop; knowing the horrors lying within, and the greater personal horror it had nearly caused him. This sort of thing...it could make one understand why Tickle wanted to cut off the Hedge completely, despite the unintended consequences such an action would undoubtedly have. Perhaps, someday, someone would find a way to protect this world from their predation. Hopefully...
And with those thoughts swirling through his head like a frenzied Autumn breeze Rick went to his car and left this gruesome place.
