How do you turn this thing on?

After all the effort he's put into getting this far, and after having involved Nightfall and Terri in the investigation, Derek is hoping he can find something useful on the computer. A lot might be riding on this, after all. At the same time, he knows his expertise with computers is only modest, at best. So, he takes a few moments to call up what he's learned about computers from past training, consultation with the Wagner Academy's IT people and all the dopey hacker movies he's ever seen... and then spends a bit of Glamour to invoke the Contracts of Hearth, hoping to draw Fate's favor.

Sorry guys, completely missed DD's last post :o

Initially, Derek finds the usual stuff; some games, music files, a little porn, etc, until he comes to the work notes. Turns out, the late Tim wanted to be a poet but for reasons now lost, he never made it. However, there is one poem, something about an Ear that catches Derek's attention. It isn't particularly good especially when compared with the rest of Tim's stuff and is quite harrowing. It tells of how the music of the world is being twisted and causing the children to see through the mask's of fairys. It goes on to tell how the hero of the poem finds a man with razors for hands and a craving for words.

Finally, the poem stops mid-flow and an address is given underneath.

Derek pulls up the poem, reads it through, then turns the laptop so it can be seen by Nightfall and Terri.

"I'd say Tim found something of value."

[Nightfall]

"Edward Scissorhands and Henry Rollins had a love child?" Nightfall mused as he tried to recall if he knew what part of town the address was in.

"That's close to Glissade," Nightfall tells the other two, frowning slightly.

No one liked Bad Stuff close to home.

"So... I guess we should look at that, maybe you two check it out while I talk to the Queen about the oath?"

[Terri Nutkins]

Terri nods in agreement. "Sounds good to me." Opening her handbag, she quickly checks the slingshot is in there and some stone bullets also. Satisfied, she clips it shut once again and looks to the pair of Fairest. "Just in case."

[Nightfall]

Nightfall had no idea what she'd checked her handbag for, but from her earlier prickliness, he was going to guess tampons rather than condoms.

"Um, OK," he replied, then offered his phone number.

[Terri Nutkins]

"Thanks," Terri says, taking the number and offering her own after a brief internal battle about giving another hot guy her number.

Its for the good of the freehold. In the end, that kind of logic always won.

"Good luck with Katrin," she adds, relieved she wasn't off to speak to her Sovereign about their pledge.

[Nightfall]

"OK, let's go have some fun," Nightfall says before leaving. It's said with a wry smile, more a commentary on prodding a Sovereign for information than innuendo to the other two.
