The Flying Wallendas

[Nightfall]

After realizing they had no parachutes, Adin, Asia, and Nightfall went to Alison Yates, where it was also revealed they had no clue. Fortunately, the Alpha of the Heart of Granite would rather not see them splattered on the ground and gave them a crash course in base jumping. After renting a car as a getaway vehicle, the foursome approach the Bridge.

Nightfall shoulders his chute, grinning widely -- the sort of grin that just won't come off. He's excited.

"So... we ready?" he asked. It was redundant, but the moment needed a declaration of intent. Someone to drop the checkered flag.

Someone wholly unconcerned with the legal or health issues that might ensue.

[Al-Adin]

Al-Adin, perhaps feeling the gravity of the situation, lets the question hang for a moment, before shouting out a the top of his lungs.
"LET'S DO THIS!"

His smile width should be measured in yards. He is having, quite literally, the time of his life.

[Frost]

Asia looks like she is about to be sick, but nods anyway.

Yeah, I am definitly finding a new circle of friends after this. Assuming I don't end up fucking flat of course. I am such a moron.

She shoulders the chute and looks at Alison, waiting for the one person who actually knows what she's doing to give the signal.

[Alison Yates]

Alison got out of the car and looked at everyone after shouldering her 'chute. She'd never intentionally anything reckless like this before with three novices. She just hoped that they would be careful. What is wrong with me? Why did I agree to this? Was it cause of him? Shit, maybe it has been too long...

"Alright, lets do this. We'll need to put our 'chutes on and get up on one of the towers. Once we get up there and get ready we need to be fast, before someone calls us in. But, I still want everyone to be careful and no one jumps until I say. Any last minute concerns?"

If there are no further concerns Alison will finish putting on her 'chute and look to the others before making her way toward the bridge.

[Al-Adin]

Al-Adin gleefully bounces up and down, his feet never resting for more than a second before he's bouncing again. Some would bear striking similarities to Tigger.
Others would see a child about to leap to his death.

[Nightfall]

Climbing Rules for Everyone

The Tower Bridge is 160ft tall at the towers.

Climbing: Strength + Athletics + equipment

One success is required per 10 feet of height; each roll represents one minute of climbing - nWoD p.64. If the character chooses to take his time and pick his way carefully up the incline, each minute added to the roll provides a +1 modifier, to a maximum of +3. Thus, if a character takes his time and each roll represents three minutes of effort instead of one, a +2 modifier is added to each roll.

16 successes + 1 success to climb onto the top = 17 successes required.

As this is a 'free climb' no equipment bonus is applicable, and a -1 Penalty is assessed for weight/bulk of the chutes.

Nightfall nods, putting on his Serious Face while he listens to Alison. He grins at the end of her speech and leans forward, kissing her quickly on the lips and then running towards the bridge.

Hitting the wall, he jumps and flows up it like it's a dance floor that he's spinning across. Within minutes, he stands atop the Bridge.

Nightfall is an Expert Traceur who can Freeflow:

- His first climbing maneuver is Reflexive
- He climbs 25ft/minute instead of 10 (needing 7 successes +1 instead of 16 +1)
- He climbs as a Rote Action

Alison was a little shocked as Neil stole a kiss from her and she stood there for several moments while he ran toward the bridge. Then with a smile on her face she took off after him. Again she was stunned at how fast the man actually got to the top. He actually crested the tower when she had just barely started. In fact Alison crested the top of the tower 15 minutes after Neil had.

Damn he's good. How the fuck did he do that?

Asia watches Nightfall scamper up the bridge as her mind works. So, he had wanted to call this chick and make this jump to impress her? Typical male who obviously still thought he was in high school.

She was definitly irritated. She wasn't interested in risking her life on a stupid stunt to impress some female she didn't even know. However, if she backs out now she will look just as foolish. Slightly consumed in her simmering thoughts, it takes Asia what seems like forever to get up the bridge. All the while she is muttering curses to herself about stupid men. She considers taking the other course in her love life. At least most of the women she knows are rational. Or maybe it could be that becoming a Lost had addled his brain. It wouldn't be the first time it had happened.

She finally reaches the top and gives Alison a bright smile, not wanting her to think she was irritated with her presence. She makes a concerted effort not to look down as she waits for the signal to jump.

[Al-Adin]

Al-Adin grins as his friends head up, he goes over to the other side of the bridge to climb without messing up the slowpokes, becasue thats the nice thing to do. Al-Adin is ridiculously fast climber, even faster than nightfall. However...he's seems to be missing some cogs in his brain, as he realizes a bit of the way up that he's gone the wrong way, so a bit of backtracking, and then Zoom.

Al-Adin gets up there, high fiving Nightfall, before laughing a bit "I got lost." He giggles. He start cheering on Asia. "Come on Asia! You can do it! Kepp going!"

[Nightfall]

Nightfall lays on his stomach and watches the others as Adin encourages them. Watching below, feeling the wind... it was like being free.

When they'd all assembled at the top, he took out his phone and took a quick picture of the other three; a souvenir.

"We good...?" he asked their guide, wind whipping the word away. Motes of Glamour made the snowflakes on his lashes sparkle as he paid the price to Tread Lightly.
