Matthew lopes into Southside Park, stopping at the edge of the forest. The rest of the pack shouldn't be too far behind; they had gone separately to more easily avoid attention. We've defeated him in battle twice. Hopefully this time he'll actually be willing to listen to reason.
Sally darts through a small grouping of trees and jumps over a teeter todder as she run to catch up with her Alpha. "First time out with the pack, time to prove yourself. Be strong Sally-Girl" she could hear her mother's voice in her head. She sees her Alpha off in the distance and moves in to catch up to him.

Shadow Tongue follows after in his Urhan form. his dark pelt blending in witht he shadows. He carefully analyzes the forest. How has it changed since the rid the Park of its former master?

After a while, Alex and Dave arrived, with Dave being particularly late. Both Rahu stand near the back of the group quietly. The fighting had already been done, now it was time to see if those of other Auspice's could resolve the situation without resorting to fangs and claws once more.
Not long after, shadowed foliage itself seems to stir, the dread spirit's force creeping out from the undergrowth. <<You have returned...>>

Matthew shifts to Urshul, a form much better suited for First Tongue. <<It's time you moved on, Light Engulfing Forest. This is our land, not yours.>>

Light Engulfing Forest's vague outline shifted; seeming to retreat back into the shadows, cling to the wild growth, take comfort in the place it had influenced. <<This land has altered itself to my will. It became home to my Court. I have made it what it has become, not you.>>
Sally stayed in her current form, pacing back and forth in front of her Alpha. What is this? she thought to herself as she listened to the Spirit converse back and forth.

Matthew doesn't answer immediately, instead calling on his gifts to open communications between his pack. The situation could change rapidly at any point, and they would need to coordinate effectively and silently should that arise.
Unspoken Communication
Finally, Matthew looks back to the spirit, nearly snarling out his words. <<This is not what this land was meant to be. You have twisted it to your own ends. You have resided within our borders by our tacit leave. That has now run out.>>
What is this beast? What is it doing to Mother Gaia's Land? Sally thought to her pack mates and she continued to pace around. She bares her teeth as her lithe frame moves through the shadowy darkness.

He is Light Engulfing Forest, a moderately powerful spirit who has taken up residence here far too long. This land used to be a park, for the enjoyment of the herd. He lay claim to it, warped it into what you see now, and made it his own. And he stole one of the shards of the spirit of Downtown, presumably to keep us from restoring the Hisil. But we defeated him and reclaimed it.
