Grigori walked out of the Lily and waited for Akim to catch up to him. The meeting was productive. It is good to see that the Covenant is strong in the city. Grigori was pleased. "Akim to the Car please. Once we are there speak freely. I think you have questions." Grigori said speaking in there native tongue.
"Yes My Alexandrov." Akim leads the way to the car, his eyes scanning the dark streets for any possible signs of trouble, if he spots anything he'll attempt to sidestep it. "I'm curious to ask about their connections but I'll wait till we reach the car."
"Thank you Grigori." Akim is silent until they've left the car park, then asking. "Where do you want us to go? And what would your opinion on a Venture of the Carthians be?"
Grigori sat in the back seat of the car thinking for a few moments before responding Quietly, "Is it better to be loved or feared."
"Nevermind that, The Ventrue are called the Lords for a reason Akim. And the Carthian's well they are fools. Akim you remember when I instructed you of the Covenants. Carthians are youngest of the Covens, and possibly the most arrogant. Thinking they can take Kine politics and use them in kindred society. Kine are not predators there parasites. We are predators. Prince Clarke is the Prince in this city, why? because when he was made prince he was the strongest. Like the Alpha of a Wolf Pack."
Akim nodded to his sire's words, but his mind was already considring the issue of Kine. They existed and they were part of the world, perhaps they -could- prove to be useful, he simply had to learn more about the Carthians.
"After we introduce ourselves to the Prince Grigori, I have the contact details of the Carthian who was in the meeting, would you object to me contacting her? She could prove an useful source of information about their operations and power here."
"I would Not object to you contacting her socially. I would however very much object to you contacting her on business matters, at least for now."
"Gather all the information you can, but our plans will remain ours unless I give you other instructions. Nothing that you and I discuss is to be shared with others with out my explicit instructions. Is that understood."
Akim has seen this before, this look in his Masters eyes. It is his ruthlessness, his determination, and his demand for loyalty...
Akim gazes at his sire's look ino the rearview mirror, bowing his head briefly. "Yes Master, I will simply gather information and socialise, I'll reveal nothing of our own plans to anyone else."
