    Tam, Thyrsus, Mysterium

Sam Skrit sits at a table in the library with books piled and stacked on the tabletop and on the floor nearby. He flipped through the pages, scanning each page slowly to take it all in. Occasionally, he would reference books that were not there, books that he had read in the past, and were now permenantly filed in his memory.

"Truth," he mutters, only a hint of meaning in the jumble of images incorporated into Jose's tattoo. The paper is getting worn, but the drive to find meaning is strong. This may not help him uncover the meanings of his own drifting tattoos, but unlike those tattoos, there is a tangible method to discovery. His tattoos were the stuff of dreamtime language. The tattoo of Jose's held real, historical symbolism.

    He hoped.

Sam needs to garner 7 successes in total with each roll representing 30 minutes of research. Also, the library gains Sam a +2 bonus.

After two hours, Sam sighs, gets up, walks around the table, then sits down again. It was almost as if the information was hiding on just the next page, slinking out of sight moments before he gets there. Sam rises once more to buy a bottle of water. When he is settled again, he scratches one of his ears, then leans into the research once more.

The elusive knowledge slinks out of sight (4 suxx)

... and a hint, a lead, something useful slithers out from the underbrush of text and footnotes.

The elusive knowledge is caught in the headlights (+3 more suxx)

The Ear Will Bring the Truth.

Those are the words that Sam's hard research uncovers.

Sam read the translation he had put together in his notes, then read it again.

"What kind of nonsense is this?"

He scratched his bald forehead, then ran his palm down his hair on the back of his head.

I need to track find out where this is coming from.

He pulls out his phone and dials the number for Jose.

Since this is an NPC, do I need to post a call in Communications?

Dorian walked into the library, he wore a Black Shirt and Black pants, he was walked through the library and scanned a section dedicated to theatre arts. He took down several books on Mask Making and Stage makeup. Once that was done he walked over and sat at a table and began reading. If he did notice Sam he did not acknowledge him.

Dorian paged through his book until he found what he was looking for. He read through several pages on Mask work and usages of masks in theatre and ceremonies. He wrote down several pieces of information as he continued reading through the pages.

A stack of books are lowered gently before Dorian, each one dedicated to various cultures and their theatrical nuances.

Looking up, he can see the Autumn Sovereign, HAL, looking at him, red eyes unblinking.

"Hello Sovereign," Dorian says standing and giving a polite bow to the Sovereign."We are Dorian, We are at your service."

Dorian did not know what the Sovereign would want with him but he knew how to treat a Political Figure.
