Finally noticing something wrong, Animus circles around, joining the other two on the ground with a questioning "Chirp?"

Ankh moves closer to Tug and nudges him gently with a soft chirp. She is beginning to get very worried.
Tug starts to walk in circles until the other birds get the idea of where he wants to go, then pleads at them with his beady little eyes to lead the way home. Chirpchirp? He doesn't want to mess up again. He flutters his wings a bit, trying to figure out just how he was doing it earlier.
Ankh looks at Animus, confused.
He wants to leave? But, we've just now figured out where the guy is going. What the hell is going on?
She shakes her head in the negative and points with a wing back the way they were headed.
Animus makes eye contact with Ankh, his look mirrors Ankh's own. He didn't show any hesitation when we explored an unfamiliar Shadow. What could possibly have him so rattled now?
Tug bobs his head once, then lets it hang as he walks where Ankh says to go. He doesn't want anyone to get mad at him. This is all gonna go wrong, I know it, we should leave, he tells himself. A sudden bus backfiring scares him back into air out of sheer instinct, and he flaps about nervously as he waits for the others to go first.
If he weren't so worried about Tug, Animus would have chuckled at his startled reaction to the bus. As it is, he just launches himself into the air and begins flying in the direction Ankh had pointed out, slowly enough to let her take the lead. After all, she seemed to have somewhere specific in mind.
Ankh launches herself into the air and heads toward the location the asian man is going to. She considers Tug's odd behavior and curses herself for not being able to speak in this form. The beak simply isn;t made for english. She considers contacting him through her mind abilities but decides against it. They wrere probably going to need all of their mana to stay in these forms long enough to get back home. She can only hope Tug snbaps out of it.
I can't keep burning mana like this. Animus drops his Sense Life spell, knowing he needs all his concentration for what he's going to attempt. He focuses on the Imago, strengthening it to ensure that it will last as long as necessary.
GS, pot. 3, 12 hr
Satisfied, he recalls the spell he had dropped.
Sense Life
Tug is stretching his bird-brain in too many directions, he knows, so he stops looking into the Spirit world. That's when he realizes he's out of Mana, and Ankh still wants to keep going, oh, man, he's going to have to scour, and he hopes, oh, man, he hopes he doesn't have to deal with any more Paradox. His nerves sing out in agony as he sacrifices mobility for Mana. When the pain dies away, he's got enough to try one more time. Oh, man, I'm gonna screw this up, oh, man...

He doesn't have any Mana, but his earlier bruises have healed, and his head starts to clear. He coos to let the others know he's alright, and his flight is once again sure, but strained. Tug's very glad he didn't have to do this alone.
