[Neville Godwin]

Neville continuously glances at the card given to him the past Elysium by the Seneschal. His thoughts coming back to the way he worked his way through the room, constantly getting everyone to think less of him, a bumbling oaf. He'd now been in the area for a time and while he was still coming to terms with the local law, it was definitely about time he made his allegiances clear. 'This is the time then'

He looks at himself in the mirror before turning and opening his closet. Peering in he looks at the various forms of dress he has accumulated, mostly dark suits and dresswear. Today he finds the deepest black suit with indigo and silver hemming, matching pocket square, and a deep indigo pleated shirt. Getting dressed he takes another peek, before snatching the card from the mirror and stepping out the door.

He makes his way through the city to the address marked on the card.

As the letter had given Mr. Godwin directions for meeting on Jennifer's office within Elysium, preparations have been laid. A dark-haired man in a tailored, Liam, waits outside of the closed door to the Seneschal's office. At the approach of a Kindred, he would ask "Who shall I say is calling?"

He denies entry to the office, allowing only someone specific to the office.

Jennifer's office had formerly been decorated by Priscus Jack. It was decorated in high quality dark wood pieces. A large book case presided over the room with a variety of books on the English language. Classic English, French and Italian literature could be found on the book case. A large and well laid out desk faced the door with a straight-backed chair in Jennifer's place and two comfortable arm chairs facing the desk. The desk had been cleared of any paperwork, and was neat. A keen eye could see a gift that Priscus Jack had given Jennifer in prime place of honor on the desk.

Jennifer sat behind her desk, awaiting Mr. Godwin. Jennifer’s expression was calm. As the Mekhet arrived, she stood up and moved to the side of the desk.
"Hello, Mr. Godwin. Do come in. How does this night find you?"

Ooc: the original post states that Godwin arrived at an address used to receive mail, and Jennifer already had a scheduled scene. The office is an appropriate place for the meeting

Neville steps inside Elysium, making his way to Lady Hazelton's office and is stopped by the dark-haired man. "You can let the Lady know that Neville Godwin, Mekhet of the Invictus, has arrived."

When he is escorted in, he bows low to the lady as she steps around the desk. "A pleasure Baroness. This night is intoxicating, your beautiful city is so alive in the night." Looking around he notes the distinctive study feel to the office, very well read.

Jennifer observed her guest for a moment. Her eyes travel over his choice of clothing, looking for any jewelry or pinned flowers for coded messages. She has been doing this for a long time and surprises were not welcome.
She listened to his words and nods slightly towards him.

"Mr. Godwin, do come in. I want to speak to you on a few matters. Please have a seat."
A lady - like gesture to the two comfortable armchairs facing her desk. She took a seat in the straight backed chair.

"I wanted to give you and Priscus Baker time to address your acknowledgement. It is important to address that as soon as one enters the Domain.
Has Priscus Baker mentioned the Nosferatu Clan or an upcoming meeting between our two Clans with you?

I do want to talk about the Covenant. I have some matters regarding the Oath to the First Estate that we should discuss.
I want to state that I was somewhat surprised by your conduct at our first meeting. Did you realize that?"

Taking a seat in one of the chairs he straightens up and looks at the Seneschal. "Priscus Baker hasn't mentioned a meeting to me yet." Thinking on his behavior at their first meeting he ruminates for a moment before continuing, "Am I wrong in thinking that my actions colored your opinions that I am a) an upstart, and b) inept?"

Jennifer observed the Mekhet for a minute. The minute stretched into minutes. The Nosferatu was comfortable with the silence. She inclined her head to Neville Godwin when she broke the silence.
"It raises questions, Mr. Godwin. The ability to refer to one another with appropriate titles and defer to one another in public allows our clan to show respect and avoid petty squables with one another. Remaining here will entail that you remember to bow to the deserving. To show the same respect as you showed me, which I appreciate.
I would caution the use of the word 'my' freely in mixed company. I understood your intent behind it and was not offended. Someone looking for an offense could find it.

I did not want to scratch you in the middle of Court and that is why I am referring to these matters in the privacy of my office. You understand."

He may be new, yet he was Invictus. That mattered. If he grew in stature, it would only help increase the power of the Invictus.
"I understand that the Priscus has not had much time to speak with you. The Clan Nosferatu and the Clan Mehet are overdue for a meeting to discuss the terms of our alliance. We initially agreed to uphold one another's status publicly and to share all information with one another. If someone leaves the Domain or you witness a meeting, that is something that could be shared.
If your Priscus chooses to delay much longer, I will have to call the meeting myself.

You may be interested to know that your Priscus is considered acknowledged in the Domain by those who matter. The lack of participation in important matters, acknowledgement of important conversations and to some, lack of manners, is causing an effect."

She decided to uphold the Priscus assumptions regarding power for now. Although her policy on telling the truth had demanded that she share what she has.

"Let us focus on you. We are here to ensure that you start with the First Estate on good footing. There is an Oath Swearing Ceremony where a new First Estate member swears allegiance to the First Estate as soon as they are acknowledged. I assume that you have done this before.
You understand a Blood Tell Oath? I shall conduct the Ceremony and you shall record a Blood Tell Oath in your own blood during the Oath Swearing Ceremony."
