"No, not really. Everyone tries to not get on anybody else's toes. Everyone behaves so we don't have to get involved"
The Waitress comes over and St George gets a coffee and a doughnut before resuming the conversation.
"How are the cliques here? Everyone keep to themselves mostly?"
He orders a tea, before he continues "For the most part everyone is cooperative, even people who are part of different groups", he shrugs, "Sacramento is a quiet place"
Taking a bite of his doughnut, St. George looks across at the other gentleman before replying. "Quiet is good, plenty of not busy to keep work on personal projects. Speaking of projects is there anything that I can do to help out at the Club?"
"Depends", he adds flatly, "where do your talents lie?", he was studying the man. Something about the doughnut and stereotypes irked him. But he didn't let it show.
"Talents...Well, first and foremost, as gathered I am an officer of the law. But as far as the club, I am a second degree warlock, with some skill in the healers arts, and predestination."
St. George finishes his doughnut and takes a swig of coffee, thinking on the conversation. 'Always a pleasure to work with another, hiding everything, speaking in twists and metaphor. LARPing as code for the Awakened'
He still felt uneasy discussing such matters, even in code, while in public. But again, he was part of an older generation of Guardians, one plagued by healthy paranoia.
"How do you like your daily job. Law enforcement can be tough"
