Rendezvous

They were executioners, murderers and spies, martyrs at best, but certainly not missionaries. So it came off as a surprise when the Detective mentioned "those below", as if their Holy mission was bound to some abstract and futile notion of Justice and noblesse oblige. Because man... get the Arrows to swear Oaths and all that jazz.
The Guardians were zealots, and they had to be for the greater good. Someone had to get shit done while keeping the others from soiling their undies.
Their ward was Magic itself.

"Yo", he says, "you done with that?", he says while looking at the man but really just focusing on the oxymoron in front of him. Because at the end of the day their Order affiliation did all the talking. No matter the bullshit he could tell, he was a rotten cop, because if he wasn't, he wouldn't be a good Guardian.

[St. George]

"Yeah I'm done. One more question, have there been any run ins with unintended consequences of a serious nature? anything that would be...noteworthy?"


​St. George sips his coffee.

[Winter]

He leans closer, his voice barely above a whisper. "Dig through the police record, but be careful to cover your tracks. You'll find out there's a... faction? They've been snooping around in the past, but they've been quiet for a while. People were careless in the past"

[St. George]

"Thanks for the tip, I'll look into it." St. George sets his empty coffee cup on the table. " Is there any Club Business that I can look into currently?"

[Winter]

"Just show yourself around this place", he says and then scribbles something upon a napkin, "that's the clubhouse. If you need anything else, just ask"

[St. George]

"Is there anything else you need from me?"

St. George smooths over his jacket brushing any crumbs onto the floor.

[Winter]

"No", he says, "Welcome to the club"
