    As the spring air warms up the city streets and the sun casts off the drab shades of Winter legal troubles arise at Harringwood community centre. While still open for business, nearly two dozen angry protestors picket along the sidewalk. There attempt to draw notice and save the hub of an overwise improvised part of the community Sacramento.

    The building itself is well kept, windows clean, lawns cut and hosts various day care, youth clubs, night courses and even sports teams. However of late more and more community members have been carving their names into the very bricks of the building in solidarity with Centre manager Simon Cartwright. Who fights tooth and nail to prevents the place from being bulldozed after a serious lucky streak lead one of those same sports teams to win against much richer backers with the power and influence to avenge injured pride.

    Along with the protestors A youth sorcerer team can be seen training on one of the lawns and members of the community gather for the after school hours club that helps with child care while parents still need work.

    Another set of client meetings came and went for Philip, another regular week at the job. But this week, they all had one thing in common. They irritated him. It had become impossible to juggle wealth and power in the way he wanted from his day job with this rich club being focused on its` pride instead of good business, and everyone he talked to going nuts about it one way or the other. He didn`t care much for the owner of that blasted Harringwood community center, or the sports club that had somehow managed to get a lucky streak bordering on the uncanny, as if by the winds of Arcadia itself. And yet, it had been all they talked about during board meetings. Both sides of the debate, for the center, and for the rich club that opposed it. It had gone back and forth and interfered with business, although he always made sure to stay out of it. And if there was one thing that could get Philip active to check out something uncanny, then it was unproductive meetings which undercut his need for either information, money or power. And this situation had all of the above. Urgg! WHY did I have to ask Fate to intervene to save yet another client from his own stupidity!? he thought, scoffing inwardly, deeply frustrated after another day at work with this situation. Something had to be done. This had to be investigated. And with that, he`d made his mind up, cleared his schedule at work as his last act before ending his work that day. And the next day, he got in his car and parked it some distance away from the community center in question, walking the remaining way on foot. As usual, his footprint had to be kept to the absolute minimum and any connection tying his investigation to himself would have to be either scrubbed or evaluated later.

    With that, he parked his car some distance away from the center and quickly and unobtrusively cast his version of Fortunes Protection on himself as a precaution before he exited his vehicle.

    As usual when on such assignments, he also kept his wits about him and looked around, trying to spot any cameras, people or anything of note that looked unusual in his sorroundings as he was walking to the center with his backpack, dressed in casual clothes: blue running shoes, blue jeans, red shirt, and a white baseball cap.

    Good work on all the BB code and tracking stuff. Just remember the venue uses 2E armour/sight which can be found by following the link in my opening post. So just change those dots from armour to defence.



    Philip does note a single solitary camera that pans over most of the sports fields and back to cover the front door. Which is more then he sees on any of the nearby buildings. Otherwise all is as it seems to be. Loud angry protestors, shouts from the sports pitch and a growing gaggle of people making their way inside.

    Spotting the single camera, Its` precise view might have to be evaluated later. Philip thought, making a note it might have to be hacked into later.
    As usual, his footprint had to be kept to the absolute minimum and any connection tying his investigation to himself would have to be either scrubbed or evaluated later.



    Making a note of the crowd outside, he went up to them, trying to not get pushed around. Dressed in the casual clothes as he was, complete with his baseball cap, he attempted to get through the crowd and into the building. He was intensely curious as to what he`d discover in that place, because he really wanted to get his work situation back on track.

    Mingling with the crowd Philip enters the building. So far nothing supernatural is pinging on his senses. The reason for the growing mass however becomes apparent as a lone security guard is doing once overs with a hand held metal detector. A tray is offered to each person as they approach things like keys and phones, loose change and so on are put in. The hoop does the once over and if nothing is found .. so far nothing has been .. The person will move into the building proper and the next person steps up.

    What does Philip want to do?

    Following the crowd, he made his way to the lone security guard who everyone was waiting to get past. Not one to cause a fuss unnecessarily, especially if there was no threat as far as he could tell, he took out all items from his backpack that could be a problem for the detector and placed them on the offered tray. No doubt I`ll get some eyes for my laptop. But hey, I do what I want. he thought. But he did feel prudence was in order, so he decided to do some arcane snooping himself by casting his version of Sybils Sight on himself. Looking down at his backpack to avoid suspicion and steady himself as he cast his spell, he was ready to see if there was anything to be seen.

    With that said and done, he attempted to proceed further as far as he could get, through this `checkpoint`.

    Philip empties out his bag into the tray. Nothing inherently suspicious is scanned down given an approving nod by the security guard. Is waved through and collects his things.

    Now into the building proper he can see a small café with open plan setting selling hot drinks, cheap sandwich's and a small array for candy and fruit bars.

    A reception proper with an alert and attention clerk dressed suitably for in smart but comfortable attire who is currently taking a call in a crisp but polite manner.

    Signs indicate where to go for the after school session, changing rooms for the sports fields and, a hall that can be used for a variety of events, and toilets. A door is propped open through which he can see a staircase leading up.

    With the lie pulled away and all seen through the lens of fate the current swirling and tangle about this place energetic and active. Weaving and being cut only to be rewoven.

    Philip collects his thoughts and puts the gear that he had to put in the tray, back into his backpack securely, making sure to check nothing is missing. So far, he could see nothing out the ordinary, so he gathered his wits and looked and walked around, taking in the place around him, trying to spot anything out of the ordinary, both mundane and through the guise of his Sybils Sight. Fate was swirling all around him, and this was not helpful. Sure, there was a lot of it with so many people, but it didn`t seem concrete enough for him. Surely, something has to be amiss here. Otherwise this wouldn`t have caused as much trouble as it did. he scoffed, inwardly.

    But the staircase intrigued him, out of the many things he could see around him. He knew he`d have to go someplace where big decisions about this place were being made, so eventually he entered the door, making sure to leave it exactly like he initially saw it.
