Her ears pick up on the new face asking about the Judex. A new Invictus? Or perhaps a Ventrue who wasn’t up to speed on positions? If that was the case, then she felt pity for whoever had to deal with that.

A nod to Priscus Baker, nothing more.

But what Verity said caught her attention. The new face hadn’t mentioned a Clan, yet the Daeva seemed to know or assume he was a Shadow. Someone she had met previously perhaps?

Either way, it wasn’t her problem. Until it was made her problem, and only time would decide that.

His eyes continually drawn to the Daeva, Neville perks up when she offers to introduce him, as well as the introduction to the Priscus. 'Perhaps this one was just the right person to meet right away.' "I very much would appreciate the introduction" he begins to reply, as he follows the example and bows his head to the Lady Verity greets as the seneschal. Always in ones best sense to do as those around you do, even if he couldn't get a feel for the Lady.


As the doors open, he noticed first the large dog, 'Holy hell, thats one impressive statement', the ghoul, 'And a follower?', before finally setting eyes on who could only be the Prince, 'Take control, this isn't your first interaction with a Prince, remember what happened in Denver'. He fights down his beast, it wanting only to flee at the very sight of the Prince.


Returning to the conversation, Neville begins to replay again, before another kine joins them. "Things have an interesting way of working out the way they should. Don't you agree?" He takes a moment to look over the new member of their conversation. Neville offers his hand and a slight bow of his head, "A pleasure to meet you Priscus."

The Daeva spares the Priscus of a shadows a short look, but remembers things of their talk from last month. A one to one conversation with me is a lot different from having official business thrust on you as soon as you walk in the door, in front of the two most important kindred in the domain. Recalling in short that he found socialising and conversation difficult. So Verity spares his a judgemental comment or jabbing remark instead focusing her attention on trying to facilitate some form of conversation.

Now the new guy. He has used no names, no titles, does he not know who she is? how can he not I sure did before arriving. A moment to mull over how to play this. She has an idea. Would doing that be over stepping, or showing her respect? Casting her mind back several month to that first interaction.

She thinks she has, what she is less sure about is if this is a good idea or not. But only way to find out.

She smiles pleasantly to Jennifer. ''Seneschal Hazleton, how are the nights treating you? well I hope. I know you mentioned being very busy recently.'' Gesturing to the new guy in black. ''Neville here is hoping to make contact with Judex Jacque.'' If official business is to much for the Priscus maybe Jacque would be the better option. But the Daeva can't make that connection. ''Neville this is.'' Verity straightens her shoulders from straight into the proudly serious stance she only takes when giving something her dedicated attention. ''Seneschal Hazelton, Priscus of the Nosferatu and Lady Notary of the First Estate.'' She pauses just enough to show she is not entirely sure if she got it right. If he's looking for Invictus he sure found them.

Dark eyes look to the Mekhet Priscus. As the silence stretches, Jennifer looks to those who were interacting with others.
There were a few questions on her mind, yet she does not voice them. The behavior has been noted, she will see if there is a plan to correct as the conversation continued.

Jennifer regards Ms. Carmen and 'Neville'. No affiliations are made clear?

Her expression remains smooth and lady-like as she expressed calmly.
" An introduction for myself, with all of my titles. You remembered well, Ms. Carmen.
There is not much there for you."

Now she looks to 'Neville' pointedly.

​Al nodded with a slight smile.

"Quite, thank you. How are you, Ms Carmen?"

On the point of 'very good timing' he raised an eyebrow quizzically.

"I see. It is always good to meet new arrivals."

He then turned to Neville with a hint of a smile.

"Good evening, sir. As you might know, I'm Dr. Baker, Mekhet Priscus and, well my covenant is obvious. May I ask what leads you here and which Priscus to refer you to for Formal Acknowledgement?"

From her seat, the Savage watches with amusement as the mess unfolds.

Non Invictus introducing Invictus...new faces not knowing who they need to speak with.

Leaning back with a slight smirk, the amusement never ended.

Neville eyed each of the others as Verity introduces them.


"Milady Seneschal, a pleasure to meet you." He bows briefly, his hand crossing to his breast pocket and sliding the indigo and silver pocket square into place.


"Dr. Baker," Neville responds, "I do believe that you would be who I am looking for. I am only recently arrived, with but a location and a name, not the name I needed, I think, but a name nonetheless. One cannot stand on randomness. But it seems today was in my luck."


His eyes continue to wander over Verity as he begins to talk with the senior Kine.

The Priscus of shadows finds his voice and Verity gives him the attention needed to listen. ''I'm glad to hear it.'' Small smile. ''But don't let me distract you from your duties, that need attending to.'' Misty green eyes dart back to the new face.

The smile that toys the corners of mouth with pride is one she has tried to and failed to contain. It shouldn't matter to me should it? but it clearly did. Be that having got it right, the Seneschals praise, or some mixture of both.

Only for her pride to take a but of a tumble as Neville moves the pocket square. Not black. Why did I think it was black? It seems good luck had lead her to make the right assumption over actually being informed. That's embarrassing. ''Well, far be it from me to hold things up. I'll be around if anyone wants to chat when all of this is wrapped up.'' A quick look around for something to do, she wasn't leaving and missing this that was for sure. ''Seneschal Hazleton, I've never been much of one for chess, would you mind refreshing me with a game or two?'' Without waiting for a response Verity will flash smiles to all, Nod to the Priscus, deeper to the Seneschal, and wonder he way over to the board. It seemed fitting for tonight.

Jennifer regarded Neville for a moment. A frown becomes pronounced on her face.
The dark brown gaze swings to the Priscus as he speaks.
"It is good when new arrivals know who to approach, Priscus Baker."
Jennifer looks back to 'Neville'. The voice slithers like a serpent over dying grass, supernatural in nature.

"When one makes an introduction such as Ms. Carmen has, one should follow suit in kind. Your full name, your Clan and if you belong to a Covenant can be freely shared in this space. That would allow for facilitation of your acknowledgement, which must be done by your Clan Priscus."
Jennifer does not mention the caveat if he was a member of the Daeva clan, intending to step forward if that became the case. As he indicates that he was looking for Priscus Baker, she wonders.
"What other name were you sent here with?"

She does not use his first name to refer to him.

Ms. Carmen moved off without waiting for a response and so none was given. Verity was now off at the chess table and Jennifer remained standing in the same place.

Dark eyes continue to watch the unfolding situation with amusement. Seems some don’t know how things work, or how to do things.

Whatever amusement she had quickly vanished when the new face addressed Jenn. While it might be skating the line, it still made her blood, if it had been pumping, boil.

And the fact that the Haunt seemed content to overlook it was surprising, but she wasn’t going to get involved. If Jenn was ok with it, that was on her. Though having to educate someone who had wanted to speak with the Judex wasn't looking good.
