As dictated by the Judex, the Invictus were to gather in March and the evening communicated had arrived.
If anyone cared to notice, the drive up to the mansion boasted a well manicured landscape ended by the gravel surrounding the roundabout directly in front of the building. At three stories high, the building itself radiated with the hue of spaced exterior lights to ensure all could deduce that they were indeed in the right place.
Upon entering the grand entryway, you can see curved staircases leading up to a second floor balcony, a set of ornate double doors ahead of you and hallways to your left and right going a distance. The room was filled with tiger lilies, tastefully placed along the edges of the staircases and to the sides of the doors. Wandering from the straight path at all would reveal doors on either side behind the staircases. At the center of the open floor, the woman who served as Jack's ghoul was dressed in purple and gold greeting each arrival and glancing to her folio with a fluid motion of her eyes. She smiles, and depending on the order of arrivals will either lead you behind the stairs and directly into the main ballroom or she will politely inform you of guests that have not arrived yet and ask if you'd like to wait in the green room until they do.
The green room is straight ahead through the ornate doors. A large oval table is centered with several chairs around it, no doubt capable of facilitating various meetings as needed. Dolls stand in each of the four corners of the room, while a large lazy susan was centered on the table to provide a variety of decanters and glasses to waiting guests. As the appropriate order of arrival unfolded, the woman returns to inform the Kindred so that they may pass through further into the main ballroom at their leisure.
If led directly to the main ballroom, the woman would lead you behind the stairs to one of the side doors. This led to a short hallway that ended in yet another door before opening up into the large room.
The main ballroom is large by most any standard. The far side of the room has floor to ceiling windows of nearly the full three floors of the building. Supporting the ceiling were a series of eight pillars, the architecture of which could be recognized as Ionic. Table rounds were strategically placed throughout the room to maximize seating, and at the center of the room was a rectangular table with a high back chair at the head. Draped from the ceiling and perpendicular to the table behind the head chair was a massive banner, of purple trimmed with gold. Parallel to the table on each side smaller banners were hung in the order of brown with red trim, black with green trim, red with gold trim and lastly indigo with silver trim. Large crystal chandeliers were spread through the room, the largest at the center section hung above the rectangular table.
Soft instrumental music resonates through the ballroom via speakers. It was soft enough to provide ambiance without being loud enough to stifle conversation. Along the pillars behind each side of the central table were many dolls, standing on a long, textured rug that ran from North to South. They were dressed almost entirely in gold with straps covering their eyes. Both men and women alternated, and a keen eye would notice a variety of age, hair color and physique among them. Where eachman and each woman dressed nearly identical, they were each very unique in most every other way.
To the East, more 'dancy' music could be heard emanating through a pair of open doors. Through these doors was a large mixer room complete with a full service bar, a dance floor, a cello and a piano. Bordering the dance floor were three similar Ionic pillars, only smaller for the single story ceiling. To no surprise the faceless masses arrived early if not prompt, eager for the meal that could not disappoint any taste. Once sated, several kindred shifted their interest to dancing before the meeting truly kicked off.
Jacque watched over the arrivals to the ballroom from the balcony on the second floor, sipping on his vitae infused champagne.
