With some time to reflect and sleep the mages gather in the early afternoon of the next day at the all faith crematorium. As the mages arrive the large white rectangle of a building is barely back from the path offering its parking and some private gardens behind, obscured by the building itself a thin vainer of privacy. If you have done anything with the phone or journal, or have done something else in preparation please include it in your first post. Do bear in mind the time frame last thread end at 11:30pm this one starts at 1pm. So if you stayed awake to long (over 24 hours) you need to roll against fatigue. Stammia+resolve and if you have stayed awake and succeed at the roll all rolls will be ta -1 until you rest.

After splitting from Philip, Witch swung by Walmart, snagging a matching charger for the busted phone in her pocket. That achieved, she headed home and after plugging in the phone pulled open the journal. She felt the urge to dig into translating it, to try to tease out whatever it was that seemed ... off about it.

But her windows were dark, and the time set for meeting up at the Crematorium was the next day. To be fair, it wasn't till after noon, but still. Sanskrit translating ... not a strong suit of hers.

So after flipping through it a few times, she tucked it away and tucked herself in. Choosing to spend the time waiting for the phone to charge by catching some shut eye herself.

Any specific rolls required for getting into the phone the next morning assuming it charges?

By the morning the phone is operational and while the screen is still locked and cracked, a calendar reminder does pop up.

To get into the phone you would need to guess the password on very limited information: Intelligence + investigation -5 for incomplete clues (1 hour per roll). OR if you have the means you can try and bypass the password with a Intelligence + computer +the equipment modifier of what ever you use to do so roll (30 minutes per roll)

Philip didn`t know what to think. To him, there hadn`t really been many clues at Mothisa`s place besides the lack of the same, and he hadn`t bothered to ask Witch much about if she`d found anything. She`d told him she`d found some sort of `notebook-or-journal`. But what that meant he wasn`t sure. But it had been late, so he`d driven home immediately afterwards, managing to get under his blanket by 11 PM already. He decided to sleep in until 10 AM as he had no appointments that morning, although he managed to get in several hours` homeoffice work by 12:30. Getting ready, he decided to take his desktop-replacement laptop with him this time in case he needed to do heavy-duty hacking, in addition to his USB cables, 4TB SSD, phone, hairspray, lighter, cigarettes, first-aid kit, and a water bottle for good measure. All of this only took him a few minutes since his backpack was still nearly packed from the evening before. So he hopped into his car and went over to the mortuary punctually at 1PM. He dressed in a new set of almost the same clothes he dressed the night before.

After all: If I`m going to a mortuary, might as well pretend like I`ve got someone to see. Although I usually hate doing that! Throwing my weight around is so amateurish. But oh well, that` s what this situation calls for and I will not disappoint my disgruntled clients so easily. Then again, is this really the best way to go?

he thought, slightly worked up and unsure. He just didn`t actually know what the situation actually called for.
Would full-on casual have been better? I dunno. he thought.

Hopefully, Witch would be there soon too, he thought anxiously. After all, they hadn`t heard any more from Walker for a while. Seemed he liked his party and then just decided to do his own thing afterwards.

well its been over 4 days. Delatdream Witch hope when/if you can . Xisdor Philip Crosen looks like you might be soloing this for a bit, which should be very possible

As Philip drove into the parking lot closest to the mortuary, his first thoughts were towards strengthening himself, and then attempting to locate Witch. The latter was appearing to be more difficult than he thought. But he was able to cast Fortune`s protection on himself again as he`d forgot his protection spell had run out during the night until he was literally right in the parking lot near the mortuary, thinking about what to do. Fortunately, he was able to cast the spell without issue as soon as he thought of it, right before he stepped out of the car.

With that done and emboldened by his success, he confidently got out of the car before looking back into his car as he primed his mage sight. He knew it was a risk, after all that time it was daytime and he wasn`t completely sure he was alone but he wanted to get something done.

Feeling the spell take effect, he smugly thought that now he could get some preliminary scouting done before he found Witch. However he knew he`d have to be careful, being daytime and all. Fortunately at least, the brief perception shifts from his nimbus were almost completely unnoticeable during the day. He figured he`d look at the area with his mage sight and check for any supernatural issues from the exterior first before going in. That last part made him slightly more concerned. After all, he might actually have to shift the odds of success again in order to do that. And that gave him a moment`s pause of apprehension as he busied himself scanning the area for any potential external supernal clues. After all, that always gave rise to the possibility for fun to be fated to come to him, as he knew from painful experience. And he certainly had plenty of risk. After all, his desktop-replacement computer with all its contents as well as monetary cost and wallet with all his identification were in his backpack, as potential sources of such fun if compromised.

Fortunately I also have my emergency hairspray flamethrower too, if push comes to shove. And I`ve got Fortune`s Protection too. But still, better not do anything too rash.

he thought anxiously, despite having a positive and neutral demeanor outwardly as usual, this time leaning ever so slightly towards deadpan which was the only thing potentially giving away his anxiety.

One after another Philips golden glyphs appear in his pattern as the covert magic takes hold offering both protection and insight.

As the early afternoon sun beats weakly down this winter's day Philip spends time outside the crematorium. Not something that unusual many need to bolster their resolve before facing what such a place has to offer. Bur instead he is looking for things unseen, for truth not courage.

A layer of the lie is peeled back and painted with the the strands of resonance that colour all things to those with the knowledge and eyes to see. This building is steeped in a static, unmoving resonance, laden heavy and languorous over it like a blanket ... or a shroud ... definitely something his sight would allow further scrutiny of. The building is however open to the public and a reception area awaits should Philip wish to enter. Or of course he could stroll through the gardens and see what is to offer out that way.
