If any kine or kindred that know Verity it’s no surprise she feels more at home in a mosh pit then a dance hall. That being said the wild rebel girl that she was, was not doing much in the way of winning approval or helping to ingratiate herself to the locals. What was a given in Detroit did not cut it in Sacramento.

So, while she has the grace and fluidity to make more happen, how do you practice flowing and intentional movements without forking out a boat load of money on dancing lessons?

Roller King Skating held the answer, more specifically roller disco! That it was way more her scene then a ballroom or grand hall, all the better. The combination of balance, planning, instinctual corrections and carefully intentional movement definitely held similarities to what she was looking for.

For the second part. Yeah, she still doesn’t like dresses. But what she has on kind of has the appearance of one once the multiple layers are factored in. The foundation piece A one piece sleeveless top and skirt. Under this A lacey under shirt to cover her arms. And over it A second skirt. This added weight and made the garments move as she did, something Verity needed to get accustomed to.

And so, as false life radiates out of her she blends into the kine and is skating round and round the ring trying to get the feel for the motions and movements.

With a few crashes and a bit of tripping to start with it hadn't taken the Daeva to long to get the hang out it. No grand movements or elaborate dance routines, not yet. But it gave her a sense of what she was looking for. Satisfied and having had a decent time the Daeva departs with the crowds.
