Club Necromancy: at Harlow's

[Verity Carmen]

While this wasn't exactly her usual scene, all the good music she really likes seems to be waiting on the new year, and despite the name the Club Necromancy crowd had the energy Verity looked for, and her wardrobe could accommodate. Besides there was a certain beautiful irony in knowing she was what many of them craved. She buys two 3rd tier (look vip just stands out) tickets one for herself and one sent to a certain Nosferatu who asked to be invited to music events.

Verity dressed for the occasion, savouring in the red and black. Boots ,flareing pants that made her looked kind of witchy if you squinted. with a surprisingly conservative blouse thing and matching gloves is front and centre dancing to the music, drinking (booze) and letting loose among the revellers. All the while wondering if her invite will be taken up, and who else might surprise among the crowd of wannabes.

To go with the outgit she picked out, she needed to hide her disfigurement. The preparations were intensive, as SFX makeup was used to adhere fake skin over Jennifer's shoulder and one side of her neck. A flesh colored bit of fabric was adhered over this, a second layer of protection. Jennifer wore something that stepped out of her comfort level, her mind still thinking of her coterie mate's advice. She wore a tailored black leather top with cut outs, form fitting pants, yet black boots that Jennifer could run in. She styled her hair in an updo, and applied heavier grey smoke eye liner and eye shadow.

Jennifer is Blushed.

Jennifer shows her ticket to be maked and steps inside with confidence. She moves with the calm grace of a lady as she slowly turns, looking for Verity Carmen among the throng of mortals.

In a short break between songs Verity wheels by the bar to grab another drink, the dancing has moved her auburn hair from effortlessly stylized messy waves to just messy but that's kind of the point. She's here to move.

Casting a misty green eye eye through the crowd she knows she won't sense the Seneschal's beast if she comes that's for sure.

Eventually Verity spots the Nosferatu by virtue of her dignity amongst revellers. So not just polite interest then, but so much for seeing you slum it a little. Either way Verity is quite pleased her invite has been taken up.

Grabbing a second pint of beer, she will wend her way over to Jennifer. ​She really did nail the ascetic didn't she. 'Hey.' Verity will call in greeting a few paces away, realizing she isn't quite sure what form of address the Seneschal would prefer in public, and opting for none. 'I'm glad you made. Loving the choice of outfit.' Holding out a pint of beer. 'Drink?'

Jennifer is looking around at the Kine. She's making a note of how the two closest women to her are speaking to one another.
Language evolves. From the time of Jennifer's death, the evolution of slang has progressed in a way that she needed to actively meet with young kine as recently as 1994. Now, Jennifer was content to sway slightly, listening to music verses and the women engaging with one another.

Verity approached and Jennifer ceased giving the mortals the lion's share of her attention. Now brown eyes move over Verity, taking in how the woman dressed to pass among the kine. She certainly appeared to know the style.

"Hey." Jennifer replied, her speech drastically different than how she conducted herself in Elysium.
The Curse continued to slither in the space between Jennifer and the eardrums of others. A serpent slithering on dry grass, it it a constant.
"Call me Jenna. What should I call you?
You like? Just something I threw together. Your threads are hot.
Yeah, thanks."

Verity's eyes light up with surprise, stopping just short of dropping her jaw, as that all to familiar voice crawls its way into her ears still so unsettling but in a whole new and most unexpected way. Oh. My. Goodness.

'Jenna.' Verity's own musical tones linger on and hold the name for a moment. 'I'm Verity, and yes, I like very much.' Eyes sweeping up and the down the wonderfully exotic choice of attire. I see we are going with just met, in which case my overly enthusiastic greeting to a stranger, probabaly came off as rather flirty ... huh I wonder what would ... No, none of that, show some restraint, she is still who she is. Verity will lean out just a little, trying to keep a respectful amount of space between them.

But compliments like that do make it difficult. 'Oh that's so kind thank you, but if yours are thrown on mine constitute little more than rags off the shelf.' An easy going smile graces purple lips. Off the internet actually, but dam she is a walking advertisement for why I should maybe try a little harder.

Moving to stand next to Jenna so they could talk but still face most of the room. 'So Jenna, do you dance?' We're at a club after all.

Jennifer nods slightly, a habit to show that she is actively listening to Verity.
She uses her name among the Kine Jennifer notes.

Jennifer looks over to the Kine near the two Kindred at Verity's question. Jennifer is looking to see how the Kine are dancing. Most of my experiences are dancing at night clubs playing rock and roll music.

"It's been awhile."

There's no way your own clothes like that and haven't been to something similar, but maybe you keep dancing to the ballroom? either way that wasn't a no?

Verity will down half her pint, and shake her head, managing to make the wavy locks fall more less back down around her shoulders. 'I appreciate the crowd isn't exactly buzzing with energy, but Everyone is having a their own good time. ' There's no formal steps to this dance, no measure of success beyond that you bring yourself. 'So if your good time doesn't involve looking a little foolish its all good.' Because everyone here absolutely does, and they don't care an ounce.

"Sounds good." Jennifer nodded, keeping her movement loose and easy. Trying to avoid the proper and stiff mannerisms of Kindred in Court. "Did you have a club like this where you're from?"
Jennifer moves to match Verity's movements. She is taking the movement slow and confidently. She is not atttempting any wild new steps or to gain attention. Ms. Carmen would likely pull enough attention from me. I am curious about this ensemble. I must dance here more often. Jennifer thought.
Brown eyes linger near someone who passes by. Were they listeninga little too closely to her Cursed voice? No, it was likely interest in Ms. Carmen.

Verity ever one to bathe in the attention she knows she is getting, moves in time to the music making use of her whole body, swaying, extending and reaching with her arms, stepping at the right moments to incorporate a twirl or a twist. Which is where the formality ends, the interesting mix of club music and classical makes is apparent that Verity does not know how to Waltz ... or any formal dances for that matter, rather letting the beat tingle in her bones she dances her own way.

Ignoring her kine admirers she isn't here for them tonight, she instead looks to the Seneschal and seeing her keeping pace, brings a smile to Verity's face. 'Looking good Jenna.' Chugging the last of her beer as she dances on. 'Like this? Probabaly but I haven't been to it. I'm more a regular at the mosh pits or raves, things a little faster than this.' She tries to incorporate a nonchalant shrug into her moves. 'But this was what's open and looked interesting. What about you, first time here?'
