Forten's Illusion Ch 3 Interrogation

Set in Downtown Sacramento, this club caters to the Fetish lifestyle. Most of the club is set in black and red colors, with velvet the dominant material. There is a large stage set near the back of the club with various equipment set aside for patron use. There is a bar for Suspension Hanging, however it is recommended this only be done by experienced Hangers. There are cages set up next to the stage so one can view the different mini-shows that go on inside. There is also a private area near the back of the club set aside for Safe Games Only. For this area the patrons are required to bring their own Toys.
Asylum was closed down for the evening on orders from the Prince.
Below the club, secret access points could lead one to a specific holding area. A certain Nosferatu, Jennifer Hazelton, has been feeding the two prisoners on a strict schedule. More recently, Jennifer transported two prisoners to adjacent cells.
The man with light skin and blue eyes was kept in the left cell. The woman is Black with strong, wide set shoulders and natural hair styled in a protective style. The two appeared average in appearance and approximately thirty years old when they were apprehended on August 29^th. The man has become somewhat agitated, yet physically looks the same. The woman’s behavior has descended into ceaseless pacing in the cell and frequent wordless shouts of rage and attempts to physically break the cell. Her appearance now has noticeable fine age lines in her face and her body shows some signs of aging. She appears to be about fifty years old.

I stated the following on Aug 29th, 2023 05:00 AM: If no post is made within 24 hours, the scene shall be closed. You shall be responsible for opening the next scene to address this plot point. No follow up was conducted by Reeve Helen Kingsley or Raúl Dominguez.

Jennifer and Liam moved into the secret access point at precisely the correct time. Jennifer carried with her a professionallocked briefcase, within she held copies of reports and correspondance sent to her. There was also a leather bound notebook with lined paper and several fine pens for her own note taking. Jennifer was dressed casually in a form fitting corset in black satin, black pants, black boots that she could run in and her black leather jacket.
Jennifer remains where she can see the two prisoners, yet about thirty feet from the two cells as she waits with Liam for the arrival of the others.

It had been some time since the Lord was last in Asylum. It was to correct a behavior... a night that did not go as planned.

In some semblance of trying to redo the evening, he wore the same attire as before- a leather kilt with a fishnet top. Smokey hues of shadow tinted the areas around his eyes. Black leather boots echoed his footsteps through the empty common areas of Asylum. He had not expected it to be closed. Perhaps the Prince really was going to be hands on.

Regardless, he made his way to the holding area where he found Jennifer already in attendance. He bowed his head and offered a "Lady Seneschal."

Steel eyes then glanced between the cages. "What do we need to know?"

The man would be easy. The woman might pose more of a challenge. Even as he awaited the answer to his question, he was already working out the possibilities for the evening.

The night had arrived, and as such, Ale enters the Asylum dressed appropriately for the business. Sure, it had been closed for the night, but appearances still must be upheld. As such, she was also Blushed, her skin still pale, but a healthy pale of someone who avoided excess sun exposure.

Gabriel had drove her, and followed her in, though he remains by the door.

Walking to where the prisoners were kept, there was purpose in each foot step. The Savage was irritated she had to be the one to handle this and get the needed information.

Her Beast had no reaction as she neared, which was always welcome.

A nod to Jennifer, then a nod to Jacque, who seemed to decided to dress to fit the club as well. “Fill me in on who is who and what has transpired.” It was all she said, no names said, no titles used. With not knowing how the night would go, she didn’t want to give the two held in the cells anything.

Jennifer gives a nod between equals as Jack arrives. "Good evening." When the Lady Prince arrives, Jennifer gives a slightly more pronounced nod. Nothing more in mixed company. "Good evening. Thank you for coming."

"I believe that these two are tied to my first prisoners - namely Angela. These two were captured attempting to abduct Ms. Stacey Clark outside of the club. I asked the one responsible to apprehension and keeping of prisoners to handle it, yet she left them with me without a word from the twenty ninth of August."

Jennifer opens her briefcase. Jennifer hands Alessandra and then Jack two packets, one marked Information Packet #1 and one marked Interview with Angela.

"I recognize the woman in the cell, who appears to be about fifty years of age, as the person who introduced herself as Lottie. She was looking around for Angela. From her appearance, I believe that she is the associate who has been helping Forten. If we get information on where he is, we can go pick him up."

Confidential, keep secured against Masquerade breaches

1. Some months ago, Reeve Durant, Mr. Smith, Dirt Nap and I staged a potential victim through feeding on one of my herd, which may have drawn the cat. A Kindred arrived following the cat and carrying a body bag. Reeve Durant, Mr. Smith, Dirt Nap and I captured a Kindred by the name of Angela and a cryptid that looks like a cat. These individuals remain in the custody.
2. Dirt Nap and I investigated some occult texts. My research of creatures suggests this cryptid's intelligence and reactions suggest a familiar. A type of creature called to a witch.

3. I observed a woman who I presume to be the ghoul that Angela later informs the investigators of investigating the site of the abduction. She gives her name as Lottie to someone who she spoke with. I will share more of this in person, if you are interested.
4. Reeve Durant, Whip Northbridge, Hierophant Wood and I met where the cat is being held. Heirophant Wood used her Gift to communicate with the cat while we observed. We learned that the cat serves a Master who can call the cat to him. We learned a few details of how to recognize his lair by environmental details offered by the cat.
5. Reeve Durant said, and I quote: For my part I didn't learn to much more except the name Ashea, and they think we are hunters. Still waiting for Ms. Perez and Co to check in with information on what they are selling out of the shop.
6. Whip Northbridge stated that he met a gentleman by the name of Roderick Singer At the Wrangler. Roderick stated that he is waiting for Angela. Roderick invited Whip Northbridge to the Rapture where he would meet with Roderick's friends. Roderick suggested that Whip Northbridge bring friends of his own.
7. The investigators interrogated Angela. I would like to discuss the details of this in person. I will share that Angela declares Matthew Forten the leader of this foul plot.

I have completed some additional investigation and have not discovered any additional dead bodies that could be contributed to the cat and Forten. I have updated the Prince Alessandra, Priscus of the Gangrel and Lady of the First estate, as well as Seneschal Jack, Priscus of the Ventrue and Speaker of the First Estate. I believe 'Ms. Perez and co' that Reeve Durant mentioned refers to the Mekhet Simone Perez and Mariposa Sanchez's coterie.

Interview with Angela

This is a rough account of what was stated by Angela, the Prisoner. Do see P. A. Baker for additional notes. The color key is as follows

"We are here to allow you to rectify your crimes against this Domain. No doubt you wish that the city officials would show you some grace.
We wish for you to give us information on the ghoul you mentioned supplying the last time that we spoke."
Angela: "You are looking for Ashea. I did not make her. Yet Forten told me that he needed her, and part of my duties was to keep her supplied.
She will give the name Lottie most times, she doesn't offer her real name.

She is Black. She is very fit, she wears a head wrap and has shoulder length locs."

Albert asks what the others will do, now that Angela cannot feed Ashea.
"Answer all of the questions that my associate asks, Angela."
Angela: "They'll get her fed, one way or the other. What is the alternative? They lose their strong, experiences assistant."
Albert asserts that we ask the questions.

"I want you to focus on Matthew Forten. You claim that you were not allowed in on the lessons that he had with students."
I ask how many there were and where they met.

Angela: "I know that there was a woman who was working with Forten on a special skill that Forten possesses. And I know that Forten's nephew is very involved in the lessons. I have seen another man, who is around thirty years old.’ Summary: He taught at one of his warehouses. The woman and young Forten could move supernaturally fast.
"Matthew Forten," I asked. I demanded more about him, what he looked like.

"I could tell you more about Forten." Angela attempts to manipulate, asking what happens to her afterwards.
Albert assures more privileges and freedom.

"Forten is a gentleman. He dresses in tailored suits and expensive accessories, such as his many watches and a few top hats. He favors jewel tones.
"He has a slight Parisian accent that just makes his exotic looks come off as more dreamy. His skin can be described as cafe au lait for people who need to treat us people of color like food shades.
His eyes are ice - blue and he has fine features. He is about six feet tall. He is lean, not very muscular."

The prisoners are within eye sight. The man fidgets, he appears very ill at ease. The woman is pacing back and forth, back and forth. She stops and stares out at the group and places her hands against the barrier of her confinement.

[Jacque]

The commanding beast of the Prince could not be mistaken. He bowed his head in respect, "Your Grace." He could compliment her outfit, but the matter was a serious one this evening.

She appeared straight to business and rightfully so. Where the Seneschal and Prince appeared reserved about titles and detail in front of the prisoners- the Lord was not. In a controlled environment and what he knew he was about to do- he owned the memories of all in the room.

He perused though the files carefully, refreshing his memory on the reports he'd seen before. Glancing up he sees that Lottie had calmed down, facing them to see what was next... so he took her offered advantage. "Feel free to state any additional questions you might think of along the way."

With her attention captured the Lord took some light steps towards her, not breaking his stare. "Let's start with something simple. What is your real name?" to at least add some form of validity to the information gathered in Angela's interrogation.

"Now, tell me about the work you do for Matthew Forten."

The Savage accepts the folders, but doesn’t open them, preferring to listen to Jenn.

Lips set in a hard line at hearing that they were passed off and nothing else had come from it, “That’s unacceptable.” And she would have to address it.

She does take the time to open the folders and quickly skim over them, after all, Jenn did take the time to prepare it. Closing them, she hands them back to her and walks closer to the cells, not fearing anything from those that were held within. Arms were crossed over her chest as she rests her chin on a hand.

Thankfully, Jacque knew what was up and got right to business. It was why she had such respect for the Lord, he knew what needed to be done and did it. No prompting, no orders, he just…did.

Dark eyes watch the prisoners, moving from one, slowly to another, and back. It would have been fun to have Cain here, just for her own sick entertainment.

But for now, she is quiet, just watching, listening.

Jennifer watched the Lord as hebegan to weave his work. It fascinated her. Although it was one knife blade's edge of frightening her as well, knowing that she would be susceptible to such influence over the mind. As the Prince spoke, Jennifer gave over her complete attention to the Prince.
Jennifer gave a slight nod in agreement, yet contributed no further commentary with the Prince on that subject. It was a fine line to walk.

"My name is Ashea Calliwell." The prisoner replies, her voice sounding raspy and ill - used.
"I have two primary tasks - handling background checks for the guests that are invited to the exclusive auctions of artifacts and in providing security around the teaching annex. The teaching annex is what he calls the warehouse that he owns.

Of late, I have been tasked with searching for Angela and Forten's Witch Cat. I have been looking for subversive magic users or Hunters who may be working against Forten in taking his employees from him."
