Forten's Illusion Ch 3 Interrogation

The cat stood at Jennifer's approach. It stared at her, yet seemed simply to anticipate the food that Jennifer provided. Angela, the Kindred prisoner, was sitting with her back to the viewing window. She did not appear to be agitated or aware of anything unusual. She gave Jennifer a look of wary concern.

"Cristina and Marcellus taken." The woman whispered. Her eyes were cast downward, yet looking at Alessandra's claws.

Jennifer glances at the Prince, trying to ascertain what the next move would be. The dark eyes swung to Priscus Jack, noting the change in who was questioning. Attention fwas drawn to Allessandra. It was hard not to look at the signs of Gangrel strength.
The Nosferatu made a note of the new information that the prisoner was yielding. Then the behavior of the cryptid and Angela.

While her Claws served a purpose, they seemed to be more of a distraction then anything at this point.

Deciding to put her Claws away, she watches the woman, “Are these important people to your boss?” already knowing her plans for them. And the cat. If this Forten can communicate with it, it was a danger to the safety of the Domain. “Are you important to him?” because Ale wasn’t getting that vibe from her. The woman would be referred to as a solider if she worked for Ale, disposable.

Jack waited and observed. As the claws retracted a part of him wondered how effective the questioning would be, but the reality was the fear was already there.

Steel eyes met the Seneschal's as she looked towards him. With a few moments of consideration he asked, "Is there anything we need to know from him?"

"Cristina is a student of his. Promising. She has some Gifts.
Marcellus is just muscle. And that's what I am, so." She licks her lips. "No."

Jennifer kept her eues from Alessandra's hands with some effort. She listens for a moment and steps forward, watching the prisoner. At Jack's question, she considers.
There were questions that she wanted to ask before and she evaluated which were still relevant.

"The cryptid - cat - is it dangerous to someone like me?" She inquired.
"As far as you know, has Forten any knowledge of people like Angela? Have you heard him discussing plans for dealing with people like Angela?"
Jennifer keeps her manner and tone brisk and professional. She has her method of interrogation, and deems that it would only overwhelm the prisoner.

[Alessandra]

The Savage listened, slowly pacing. Was the info gathered useful? Were these two prisoners still useful?

What was stopping her from ending them, and the damn cat here and now? If the cat was connected to Forten, it was a liability, and put them at great risk. Forten needed to be dealt with, this was true. But that cat, that cat was a problem.

None of this was voiced though. If the cat could communicate with the guy, then saying anything would alert him beyond what he already knew. He would be expecting them at some point.

She didn’t say anything. Her questions would be asked of Jenn and Jacque outside of the building. In Elysia, or somewhere else that wasn’t known to anyone in this room. Was she being paranoid? Yes. But as Prince, she needed to be, it fell on her to keep the Domain safe.

The Lord imposed the will of his blood on the subject of Jennifer's questions.

The Prince seemed finished with her questions for now but he still saw her thinking, probably considering the next move after tonight.

He would linger longer after they were done. He had work to do.

Always more work.

Jack will be using The Forgetful Mind to replace the memories of both prisoners for this evening with memories that they successfully resisted the interrogation and refused to provide us any information.

" I overheard Forten tell one of his students that the crytid is only dangerous to weakened mortals. I cannot think of how it could harm someone as strong as you." The eyes flick nervously to Alessandra's hands. The eyes flick to Jack.
"I heard him become annoyed when I told him that I missed meeting with Angela. She was the 'only one of her kind that could be trusted'. I had overheard him tell Marcellus about being very careful not to be followed to thier home. He said the hearth witch would do her best, but he was unsure if it would work against someone so different than him."

The time had flowed smoothly and the questioning came to an end. Jack remains behind to work on the mind of the prisoners. What would the information lead to? What do you do next?
