Forten's Illusion: Going fishing

"Maggie. Maggie always works."

Because why the hell not ? Her first impulse is Margaret, but that makes people think of old people and that's not always helpful... Helen walks faster towards their destination.

"Okay, lets do it like that." She studies the map part. "We'll start with the place the parking lot belongs to, you guys go right, we go left. In case there's only one entrance, you'll cover the ground and work your way up, we go to the top and work our way down. Use the time to make sure everybody has the numbers of everyone else, just in case you need to communicate quickly. Clear ?"

Rhetorical question, she doesn't wait for an answer. Instead, she starts typing up a message...

The parking lot that was described is in front of a prestigious apartment building. The front of the building has a lobby marked by a gate with a metal fence. Two large overhead lights illuminate the parking lot and outside area of the apartment building.

A man in a blue and gold uniform stands on the inside of the closed and fenced area. At this distance, you can see that he's well equipped. The man wears a radio headset in his ear. A large mag light is in his hand. A few items are clipped to his belt - a mace canister is clearly visible.

Al nodded to the words of the Reeve, then he noticed the gate with fence and minion. So it was that kind of block, probably with the fence being electric and cameras observing the lot. He spent a moment thinking about how the brothers Crain would have solved that, but decided that that amount of brutality wouldn't be warranted in this case. Some more thinking later he had decided on a course of action, writing a note and handing it to Raul.

Note

Mr. Dominguez, if you could talk to the man and see, that we could proceed, that would be good. I'll be exploring alternative ways.

Marilyn recieves a call and departs the scene. Marilyn is written out oft his scene.

Alright, uniformed guard... Great...

That makes things harder for sure. Helen ponders how to get past that obstacle. They could attack him, sure, but that would be pretty hit and miss. They could sneak around and see if there is a way past him or try to make the guy let them through without asking too many questions. Looking how close they've already come, she sees few options. So she doesn't ask what Al and Raul are communicating by passing messages, but walks further towards the gate where the guard is.

OOC: Plan is to get inside the building and see if we can find the place where the mark lives, preferrably without her currently being in. If that doesn't work, getting some details to the picture would be a start.

Raúl watches as Marilyn has to leave. He glances at the note from Dr. Baker and looks to the man at the gate. He watches Helen approach the gate, lifting an eyebrow before he starts to follow along, the plan having changed a bit with Marilyn leaving.

The well - lit parking lot and area in front of the living quarters allows the guard to see Helen clearly as she approaches.
"Good evening." He greets politely. "Can I help you, Ma'am?"

He remains three feet behind the locked metal gate. His eyes on Helen for a beat before scanning the area behind her.
What do you do next?

Al shrugged once he saw the Reeve approaching the gate as seemingly the plan just changed. He then followed her while trying not to draw much attention to himself.

"Evening,"

Helen keeps a small distance from the gate.

"Maybe you can. Do you know this woman ?" She holds her ID drawing out to the guard. "Apparently she hasn't been around as much as some of her friends are used to and so we've been asked to do a check if everything is alright."
